I was one of Dr Thomas Simpsons patients I was the youngest in floyd county with cml when I was 17 and with his help I have made it to 31 he was the best dr I have ever met but he retired leavening me in the care of Dr harris with dr Simpson yeah I missed appointments but Dr Simpson took the time to understand my situation and my struggles but Dr Harriss would not take the time or care I miss 3 appointments under his care and they dismissed me from harbin clinic all together he said he would get me into another Dr but they act like they cant help me with anything at all now and now I cant get my medicine for my cml Im supposed to be on it every day I havent been on it since Oct its now april I keep calling the new patients hotline in cartersville they keep telling they are going to call dr harris office and they will get back in touch with me but never have I dont know what to do from here someone pl3 help me

Great facility and Dr. Harris seems to be a knowledgeable doctor I would have given maybe an extra star if not for the fact that communication with them is terrible. It is promised at the beginning that you will always get to speak to someone. Unfortunately that is really not the case. You will always have to leave a message and if you are lucky someone will call you back but dont count on it. They have an excellent sales pitch. I am editing my earlier review above due to the fact that after two days we still have not received a return call. I guess one can only speak directly to a doctor if you make an appointment first. God forbid it should be something important to you to speak to a doctor about. My wife and I were very upbeat at first with the center however it has gone into a steep decline since. Should anyone from Harbin Cancer Center read this take a look outside at the name on your conference center on the 3rd. floor. My wifes father paid for that. Third edit on this post. After not hearing from the doctor at the Cancer Center for two days we finally got a call from his PA. This was on a Thursday and I pleaded for a return call the Tuesday prior. We convinced the PA that my wife needed to have some tests run to find out why she was feeling so badly. The PA had us come in on Friday and the tests showed some very alarming low numbers as to kidney functions. However no suggestion was made. We received a copy of the numbers on my wifes patient portal and showed them to a close friend of ours who is a retired physician. He became alarmed and contacted two doctors who he knows and read them the numbers. All agreed that she had to go to the hospital immediately. On Saturday she was admitted and remains there as of this writing Monday evening. She was in complete kidney failure. So if this is the type of care you want go for it. Not us anymore. This is a total travesty. Final word on this review do your due diligence before deciding who to see and where. The local reviews are good but these people dont know any better. I would suggest traveling a bit to see real professionals.

I really like Dr .Harris and blessed to find such a caring doctor. He listens and feel very comfortable talking with him. I would recommend him to everyone.

I would recommend everyone that I know to dr. Harris. He explains everything so you can understand. he never rushes you out the office he is very persona.l him and his team are the best. The girls that work for him are nice and courteous. They also explain everything so you can understand the infusion girls of the best I love Woodlands.
