A wonderful experience....or as wonderful as surgery can be He is very professional and carding. I feel very confident in his abilities to care for mr. I am facing future possible surgery and have requested family physician to again refer me to Dr. Mayfield. He answered all of our questions before the last surgery and did an exceptional job of explaining things I rate him a 10 out of 10.

Surgery with Dr Mayfield was a great experience. Aside from his surgical skills Dr Mayfield has excellent people skills. He explains everything in non medical terms that are understandable to the layman and can ease any apprehensions you might have. I had to contact him on 2 occasions after surgery one evening and once on Sunday. His answering service paged him and he returned my call minutes later. Highly recommended.

While Dr. Mayfield is pleasant and has a nice bedside manner. He does not listen to his patients. His staff are rude and after giving me a script that I carried all over town To have filled only to find out it is not something carried in stock. I was then forced to drive to his office after spending 6 days in A hospital bed to pick up a new med. Hydrocodone Im still in pain very bad pain . I have another appointment with my old doctor in Alpharetta on Monday. Hopefully I can stay out of the ER that long. Im disappointed with Dr Mayfied who seemed to have one concern. No to operate. Funny I have great insurance. Never again will i walk in The doors of Floyd Medical.

Dr. Mayfield is amazing I felt comfortable being in his care from day one. He is genuinely caring about his patients and their treatment. I was scared to death before I met him about my cancer diagnosis and impending surgery but he was so reassuring and professional that I felt extreme relief after our meeting. He performed my lumpectomy on July 21st and I am doing very well. I highly recommend him

Dr. Mayfield went above and beyond for my family during my breast cancer battle. So thankful for him

Very professional and courteous. Explains everything. He did my hernia surgery in March of 2011. Plan on using him again. I think I may end up with another surgery.

I saw this doctor because I have a breast abcess that needs to be drained. He examined my breast and told me he didnt think it was infected. My biopsy results SHOWED that I have an infection. My breast is swollen to twice the size of the other one red and has multiple lumps in it. I was told by medical staff the day before that it needed to be surgically drained before it enters my bloodstream. He doesnt think that will happen. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. I left the office in tears.

I would highly recommend Dr. Mayfield for many reasons. He truly cares for his patients which is evident in his thorough care from the office visit to the hospital rounds. He does not talk down to his patients but rather takes great care to assure that the patient fully comprehends the situation.There are not enough words to express my gratitude for Dr. Mayfield. Truly a topnotch surgeon and amazing human being.

I highly recommend Dr. Mayfield. He is very caring and spends time with you to know how you feel and answers your questions. He accurately diagnosed the problem and explained options. He follows up and keeps a check on you. He did my sigmoid colectomy and I was very uneasy about the surgery. Having Dr. Mayfield as my doctor made me feel very comfortable with my surgery and recovery.
