I must tell you first and foremost how honored I am to have a Primary like Dr. Douglas. He is phenomenal at his job and cares tremendously about his patients. His bed side manner is first-rate. He goes out of his way to build a genuine relationship with you, which allows you as a patient to open up about your needs!I moved to Rome about 9 months ago and completely had to start from square one with a new home, job, etc. After, I got the most important task situated it was time for me to pick a doctor. I knew instantaneously that I wanted it to be Dr. D because I had the pleasure of interacting with him and his family daily by then at my new job. Him and his wife were warm and confronting and I KNEW that not only would I be comfortable with him, but that I could trust him as well. So I made my appointment and the rest is history. There has been times when I was sick at my job and his wife would make him aware. I'd look up and there he'd be walking through the door, stethoscope and all, to check me out and call in medication for me! That caring spirit is what many healthcare professional's lack in these times, but not him.If you are looking for quality care, a friendly staff, and a doctor that is there to guide you with your help, YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH DR. DOUGLAS!!!!!!

My appointments are always professional and timely. Dr. Douglas spends the time that is necessary to address any medical concerns. He is an incredible physician.

First appointment with Dr. Douglas, waited almost 3 hours for him to see me. Second appointment, after just over 2 hours, I left and did not see him. Not respectful of the patients time. I now see Stephanie his Nurse Practitioner. She is wonderful and always on time.

The first visit I waited well over 2 and a half hours in the exam room to see Dr. Douglas. Second visit at an hour and 15 minutes I left the office. I will not schedule with Dr. Douglas again. He was great on the first visit once I finally saw him, but he is not respectful of his patient's time. My time is of value as well and I don't have time to wait 3 hours to see him.

The first visit I waited well over 2 hours in the exam room. Dr. Douglas was fine when he finally arrived. The second visit I waited in the exam room. At an hour and 15 minutes, I left the office. It is very disrespectful to keep patients waiting for this length of time. My time is of value as well and my expectation service is provided after a reasonable wait time. It does not happen at this office.

I had a mediumly serious animal bite one evening, did the appropriate first aid, took some pain killers I had on hand & called Dr. Douglas' office the next morning about 9:45 when I was finally coherent. They worked me in by lunchtime and saw me twice more for follow-ups within a week, "just to be on the safe side." This is a busy practice and they went out of their way to make sure I got treatment quickly & responded well to it. I know that animal bites can shift for "not a big deal" to significant medical events quickly. I appreciate the concern they showed & the excellent treatment I received very much.
