She is awesome she been the Dr to my kids for 24 years
Dr. Howard stayed to take care of my very sick son when she was IN LABOR. He is grown now but she always cared for him, helping me uncover the fact that he was nonlateral when he was 7 (no hand preference) and getting him in OT so he could be successful at life. The schools-no one- had seen that as his problem, but she did! It is very rare in children of that age who are otherwise ok. Once I saw her in Atlanta just checking on one of her very sick little patients there (under a specialist's care) because she cared. She has the heart of a lion and the mind of a genius. I am so glad she was my son's doctor. He is grown now and fine.
My daughter was taken out of this network stating that she missed appt. I've taken her to see Dr. Howard since birth(11 years) and she has only seen Dr. Howard once or twice. I do not think this was right. Never got appt reminder calls or letters. I do thank Ms. Ameila whom my daughter seen each time on every appt.
Dr.Howard is the most sincere doctor I have even met! She and her staff are all amazing! Tonya rocks too! As a mother, I 100% TRUST her with my children.
Run from this Dr. and the group she is with. At first I thought she and her group were good doctors. I almost lost my child because of them. She set into motion to have dfcs called on me and got very angry and vindictive. She had my child hospitalized ,which I didn't have a problem with, after nothing was done for my child several days other than laying there, I asked them to have my child transferred to a children's hospital because they were not improving and she and the hospital got very angry and told me no and said they would not accept him as a transfer. I took my child out AMA and took them to a children's hospital . When I arrived at the children's hospital they told me they were out of their league in this matter and that my child most certainly would not have improved in their care and that yes they would have accepted him as a transfer. He was hospitalized immediately and given an IV (he was dehydrated) , which the first hospital did not do. After that I still took my child back to her for visits at which time she called dfcs on me. I was investigated and completely cleared of all accounts and told it was a frivolous case (by my case worker who is known as the toughest case worker). My child had other specialist doctors who spoke with dfcs concerning my child and his issue and told dfcs that this was a condition my child has. Dr. Howard and her co doctor would not even consult with this dr. who is the expert on the problem, but became very vindictive and even lied about hospital records to me and once I told them that I recorded the doctors at the hospital and they told a different story they got even angrier telling me it did not matter. They are very unprofessional doctor's. She also cost me money I don't have because she threatened dfcs on me if I didn't have my child put in the hospital every time I took them to her. Now the insurance says it wasn't necessary for the hospital stays (which it wasn't because the specialist had it under control had they bothered to consult with them) but what was I to do? Have dfcs take my child because of them and their vindictiveness? The specialist could not believe what was going on and the other doctors who we see now including a new pediatrician who saw the records from the hospital and their office could not either. Our family has suffered much from this doctor more than I can tell on here ,but as I said , If you love you child run from these doctors and this place and anything associated with them. God have mercy on your child if you decide to cross them by doing what you think is in best interest of your child ,or ask for a second opinion. I have seen other reviews stating the same ,so it is not just me.
Dr. Howard herself is incredible. I would recommend her to any one. My complain is that she has accepted WAY too many patients. You can never see her. It used to only be difficult to see her for sick visits, but now it is also impossible to see her for well visits. I hate seeing nurse practitioners every single time. This is my baby we are talking about she deserves to see the best. She is stretched too thin. Oh and in my opinion her nurse practitioners are the worst in the practice. I will be changing Dr.s soon. Too bad because we LOVE Dr. Howard. I just want to have good medical attention when needed. That has become impossible.
Dr. Howard has excellent bedside manner. She speaks softly and sweetly to my child to allow my child time to "warm up" to her prior to the exam. her exams are thorough. When situations arise that require specialists, she is very agressive in securing such care.
She is the best doctor EVER. I mean EVER. I wish I had an adult doc like her. My son was one of her first patients, and from the first time we talked with her, we could tell she LOVED babies. When he got the measles as an infant, she went in LABOR herself but waited to hear my son's blood test results - she absolutely wanted to make sure he was well cared for with no discontinuity in care. She relates very well to my son and is homeschool friendly. My son had a really weird disease - and she diagnosed it and treated it right off - and it is RARE. The ER doc had just been terrified but she tool on look and knew right what to do. Oh gosh, if you can get her, do!
She is a great Dr. I have her for my two kids and I wanted her for my 3rd one but they stoped takeing medicaid for newborns. :( but another than that she is great!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
