List of Scott G Bowerman's Reviews
I would like to express the highest level of appreciation, to the best orthopedic surgeon I have ever , had the pleasure of meeting . Mr.Scott Bowerman of Rome Orthopedic Center in Rome Georgia. Not only is Dr. Bowerman one of the most kind spirited, personable doctors a patient could ask for. He has the most courteous, polite and proficient office staff members that one dreams of! After three total joint replacements,LTK,RTK RTH surgery 100% success. So , Dr Bowerman, Chandler, all the nurses , THANK YOU ALL
Dr Bowerman was a horrible doctor to my son. He did nothing for him told him he wasn’t hurt showed no concern and was very unprofessional. Diagnosed my son with no mri for a hurt shoulder that he waited in pain for 3 months for the appointment (Workman comp). Most commonly an MRI is needed when someone has shoulder pain that does not respond to six weeks of conservative treatment such as NSAIDs, physical therapy, or injection. MRI is the only way to determine the severity of a rotator cuff tear. I’ve worked in the medical profession and have to say Dr Bowerman did not give my son professional care. Michele Knauss
Absolute joke of a Dr. Dont waste your time or money with this Dr. He says that popping, grinding, and extreme numbness in my shoulders is normal and I'm just getting old and that I'm not injured. I'm only 36 and am healthy and active. But to be told that popping and grinding is normal for someone my age is just absurd and that I'm not injured when these issues didn't arise until I got hurt at work a few months ago is simply ridiculous. I've only had 5 rotator cuff surgeries, but according to him, I'm not injured and I'm lying about my symptoms! An complete joke to the hippocratic oath. This man definitely should not be practicing medicine and I fully intend on seeking litigation for malpractice due to his neglect. Having undergone 5 surgeries already for rotator cuff tears, I'm fairly certain what a torn rotator cuff feels like. For him to say I'm not injured, with no x-rays, mri, or other diagnosis is just disgusting violation of his oath in my opinion, he literally walked in looked at me less than two minutes and accused me of faking my pain and injuries. Only had 5 surgeries from this injury and last Dr recommended a shoulder replacement because I'm beyond simple rotator cuff surgeries, but yeah, I'm totally faking it. This Dr shall definitely be hearing from my attorney and I shall be reporting him to the medical board in attempt to have his license revoked! This man doesn't care about his patients and has horrible bedside manner! Most disgraceful doctor I've ever met in my life!
Worst dr I've ever encountered! Did zero diagnostics, said I'm not injured and that I wasn't in pain and that popping, grinding, catching, and extreme numbness and tingling in my shoulders is normal and that he experienced it daily and that I should just suck up the pain. He definitely should not be operating on people if he's being truthful, but I believe he's lying, which is extremely uncouth and unprofessional. After waiting two hours, he walks in for two minutes and says I'm not injured and dismisses me, no x-rays, no mri, nothing. I've undergone multiple rotator cuff surgeries and know exactly what a torn rotator cuff feels like and the symptoms and have been experiencing every one of them, but according to him after looking at me for less than two minutes I'm fine. Again, no actual diagnostics were done to determine if I have another tear. I shall definitely be making a complaint with the medical board and seeking litigation for malpractice. His bedside manner was atrocious and arrogant. His medical license should definitely be revoked!
Dr. Bowerman is a wonderful doctor. He did my knee replacement a year ago. He is attentive, knowledgeable, caring and professional. Sometimes the wait in his office is long but it is worth it to me because he is a really good doctor.
Had 3 appointment with Dr Bowerman didn't get to see him at any of them. I made one appointment two weeks out on a Thursday, got a call in a couple days asking if I could come in day after tomorrow, I said ok. Next day got a call saying doctor wasn't going to be there so could I come in on the following Thursday, my original date. I said I would call back and I waited a week or so and made an appointment for yesterday. I have foot problems and can hardly walk on my foot plus I have major back problems and Fibromyalgia. I got up got dressed and hobbled to the car. I got to the office a few minutes before my appointment time and the lady at the front told me that he was call away on an emergency and I would need to wait about an hour. No phone call, no nothing. I understand an emergency but I also understand common courtesy. I am now going to find a new doctor. I love Dr. Brown. He has been wonderful with my knee replacement and ankle surgery. Dr Bowerman must be a joke or doesn't exist.
Common sense procedures concerning covid-19. Requires mask opportunity to wait in car. Only one person allowed inside unless patient is requiring assistance
This man saved my wifes life in 1998, she was in an industrial accident that cut one of her legs completely off and severed the other one about 90% he was able to save that one leg, if not for him I would not have my wife today. Thank you Dr. Bowerman.
Dr Bowerman has done both hip replacements on me. Both were a great success and I would strongly recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dr Bowerman for giving me my life back.
He gave my Dad mrsa...didnt even say mrsa...said possible infection...didnt even look at xrays at 2 week follow up...didnt even see Dad...there was problem with hip implant...why is he still practicing?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
