This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. He wasn't successful in treating the injury. He didn't explain things well when I asked him questions. You are better off finding another doctor.

My mom 91years old went into Redmond Hospital with a broken hip. Dr Stephen Brown did surgery and had her home in a few days. He is an excellent Dr. The Best I have ever met. Mom had best care I have ever witnessed. My family is so grateful for Dr Brown and all the staff. Thank y’all for taking best care of our mom.
Dr. Brown did my knee replacement surgery, and it could not have gone better. While I did experience some expected post-op pain, it was not excruciating, and Dr. Brown and his PA made sure that it was well managed. Eventually, I will need the other knee replaced, and I plan to have Dr. Brown as my surgeon again.
Total shoulder replacement, 2 yrs now. Have a great range of motion, no pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Brown.
Put off for an emergency
My real name is James Neal. I broke my collar bone on October 5, over a month ago and have not been able to have it treated since leaving the ER. I've been in excruciating pain for the entire time, often thinking of giving up and just ending it all. Last week I was referred to Dr. Brown by the VA, and they accepted the consult then. Today, on Veterans Day, I was told by his staff that they will not treat me, because I do not live in their area. This is the only Orthopedic doctor who will accept VA patients anywhere near my home, and he's a 90 minute drive. This is nothing short of a kick in the groin, of a veteran, on Veterans Day. Needless to say, I cannot recommend a doctor who seems completely devoid of compassion. This review will not post without at least one star, so actually, no stars for Dr. Brown. If you want a doctor who cares, find another one. Addendum: By stalling on this decision to not treat me, they delayed my already late treatment and caused several days of additional pain.

Great staff. They are always polite and respectful. Could easily be a five star rating if I were not called back an hour after every appointment time and then made to wait in the exam room for another 30 - 45 before being seen.
Dr. Brown and Rome Orthopaedic Center is the best place in Rome Georgia if you need care for any injury or issues. I have always had good results from this office and Dr. Brown.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
