Very nice and friendly staff. Desarea Hames at the front desk was the sweetest and politest I’ve encountered. All around great person. More establishments could use a Desarea. Dr. Patel was nice and caring. Thanks for the hospitality guys.
When I arrived at the Summit office on 12/2/25 I was directed to go next door to the surgery center. Why was I not told it would be done in a different office at the time I made the appointment? When I entered the surgery center the lights were off in the waiting room as well as the front desk area. I arrived at 12:59 for a 1:15 PM appointment. There was NO ONE at the front desk. At 1:05 PM a staff member appeared turning on the lights and sat down at the computer. I went to the desk to introduce myself and say I had a 1:15 appointment. She was dismissive, made no eye contact, and said she had to get the system booted up. I was nervous about the procedure and felt even more anxious after being treated in this manner. Eventually she called me up and gave me a clip board with numerous forms to sign. There were statements I could not honestly sign, such having the procedure explained to me as well as the risks associated with the procedure. The staff member who took me back for the procedure was pleasant and friendly. The injection was incredibly painful. I’ve had two major surgeries and delivered two babies. But, nothing compares to the pain I experienced during the injection. Dr. Patel offered no verbal support nor encouragement. I literally screamed. I couldn’t help it. I have a follow up appointment on 1/2/26. I plan to keep it and then find another neurosurgeon.
Everyone at the office was very nice. I actually enjoyed talking to the Dr. My only issue is that the meds that she prescribed are such a low dose that one pharmacy has them in stock And that's in Acworth and I haven't been able to go and get themi like about an hour from there!
I drive approximately 1 hour to see Dr Patel. I wouldn’t drive that far if Dr Patel wasn’t that good, but he is AMAZING! Finally have a Dr that listens and understands what I am going thru. He is very patient and has seriously helped me have a somewhat “normal” life. Without Dr Patel (and staff) I can honestly say that I would not be able to walk or function well enough to live on my own. In I have tried several Physicians, he is honestly the best If you are in any kind of pain and it relates to your back, please go. It is worth the drive to see a Dr this good .
Doctor Patel is amazing! He always does his best to help in any way, which I highly appreciate. Him and his team are very compassionate and throughout my time here, I've felt cared for and secure. Would highly recommend Dr. Patel and his team.
Is helping with the pain still have some big with med is better
Summit is very professional. The doctors are kind and listen to you every need. I really do like the whole office.
I love Doctor Patel and his staff. Chenoah, and Grace are wonderful as well. They are all on the same page when it comes to my treatment, from check in to check out.
While experiencing the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life, I was sent to Summit, Rome for an MRI. I don't know why, but I have to assume that there are no working MRI machines in the entire city of Woodstock, GA. The test was abruptly halted by the MRI Technologist. The concern by the Tech was substantiated. However, the issue could've been resolved with one phone call. Instead, I was sent on a 2.5 hour (1 hour drive each way) mission to retrieve a letter stating that I could move forward with the MRI, and I was never in any danger. Subsequently, the letter that I retrieved and presented to Summit Rome, was heavily scrutinized for validity by the MRI Technologist, at Summit Rome. It's as if the Tech didn't think I would return with this document. All the while, still in excruciating pain. Upon completion of the MRI, I was advised that the test result would be available for me to review via MyChart, on or around Nov 6th. Today is the 18th, and as of noon today, and several unproductive phone calls to the Summit staff, I still had not received the MRI test result. I would eventually find out that the information regarding the availability of my MRI test result, was not accurate. I contacted Summit, Rome via their website messaging on 11/13/25 @ 3:30pm for assistance, no response. A while later (also today), my primary Doctor's office took ownership of the situation, and made things happen for me. Because of their effort, I was finally able to receive and review the result of my MRI, and share the result with my Doctors. I cannot aptly describe the amount of pain and aggravation that I experienced on the day of this MRI test. There was absolutely zero concern for the intense pain that I was in, and no offer of assistance to retrieve the document that could've easily been retrieved by the Summit Rome staff, while I was physically there in their office. In addition, having no medical background, I have no understanding of processes, protocols, and procedures with regards to accessing, retrieving, or reviewing my personal medical records. My Primary Dr's office explained that I needed to give Summit, Rome my permission to fax my results to my Dr's office in Woodstock, GA. I don't live in Rome and it makes zero sense to travel there when the results can simply be faxed. As I spoke to, and explained this to Summit, Rome today, I was told, "that's not how this works" by an employee of Summit, Rome. So now instead of just pulling up the test results in MyChart on my phone (which was wrong information), I was expected to drive an hour one way to get a piece of paper, in 2025? I don't think I need to explain that this was an unsatisfactory response. The runaround that I experienced was unsatisfactory. My advice to Summit, Rome is this...when someone who has health insurance is in the worst pain of their life, this is not the time to turn your back on them. You work in an industry driven by people who come to YOU for HELP! Compassion should've driven someone in Summit, Rome to at least try and source the information, so that I as a patient could've had the MRI, and made my way back home so I could rest and recover. But instead you fell asleep at the wheel! You caused me more stress, pain, and aggravation. You showed no interest in helping me. You ALL wouldn't have a JOB otherwise. In the end, my experience no matter how well documented or not, was the absolute worst. Why not quit and find something else you can do that doesn't involve sitting on your ass and collecting a check for doing as little as humanly possible? There are people who care about other people, and got into the health field for that reason. Why don't you hire THOSE people and have them run your tests, and manage your office? If that's not working for you, how about you TRAIN your staff to find ways to HELP people. Even if it involves taking an extra 30 seconds of your time to help YOUR customers? I'm trying to be nice about it, but I wanted you to know the kind of headache you caused me when visiting your office, and the COMPLETE lack of communication and followup!!
I scheduled an appointment with them. they told me at the time of scheduling that they couldn't prescribe pain meds because of the medication I'm already on. i told them I didn't want pain meds I needed an MRI to find out how bad the damage to my spine was and figure out where to go from there. After the intake nurse spoke with me another nurse came in and asked me if I was there for injections or pain meds because they couldn't see me for pain because of my current meds. I told her neither that I just want an MRI and then go from there. Dr. Hamilton came in asked me about what was going on with my back. As I was going over my injuries and symptoms he asked again about injections to which I told him that I don't want to do injections as I've had them before in another location of my back and it offered no pain relief, only to leave huge knots in my back that took weeks to recover from ,I let him know I didn't appreciate his nurse asking me about pain meds when I've already made it crystal clear to the nurse that that's not why I'm here.when making the appointment. I just want the MRI, find out what the damage is, then figure out what the options are and if im eligible for stem cells to which he replied that he wasn't going to order tests for the sake of ordering tests. Then said he couldn't help me. to which I replied I can give you the doctor's names and you can verify I've had 2 mri's and epidurals on my lower back and its not ordering them for the sake of ordering them but to figure out what other damge has occurred since my last mri over 14 years ago . It seems like this isn't a legitimate spine doctor just a place to get injections and get people hooked on pain meds.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
