List of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates Roswell's Reviews
Can't recommend this practice. Dr. Karim is ok, crisp, efficient, maybe ok for typical adult with routine needs. Was not comfortable with her sensitivity for our special needs son, explained to receptionist he was due for a scope and I wanted someone with a kind and gentle manner. She booked him with another doc - a few months later, complete waste of our time and money. Nice enough guy but apparently scopes "aren't his speciality" and he referred us to someone else at Perimeter. I booked my scope with Dr. Karim at Johns Creek Endoscopy. The place is a dump and Covid hazard. Many people packed close together in a teeny tiny waiting room. The patient prep area is also small, dingy and everyone is packed way too close for the new Covid world. Ugh. Avoid unless you have no other choices.
This company is number 1! Always reliable and dependable, great staff and doctors! highly recommended!!!!!!
This group has become nothing but a factory. It is so disheartening to see what has happened to what was once a patient focused practice. I wrote a rave review for them years ago. not today.
Dr. Garud has been fantastic in working with my mother and she has only praise for him. Meanwhile, the doctor’s assistant nor clinical assistant at Atlanta Gastroenterology has not returned my mother’s call after 3 calls. My mother is not able to get her medication filled (although she’s attended the colonoscopy appointment) and her colitis is putting her in extreme pain. This is medical neglect and an abuse of this “Covid” grace period.
I had a colonoscopy performed a little over two years ago. I had a small polyp removed during the procedure. Several hours after the procedure, the polyp site became inflamed, and I was in intense pain. I ended up going to Northside Hospital and got admitted to Intensive Care. I called the doctors office several times and never received any calls back. I paid over $1000 to visit the ICU. Apparently once the colonoscopy is done, you are on your own!!!
Feels as if Atlanta Gastroenterology had monopolized the market. They are horrible with the wait time, I had an appointment at 10.30, we were told the doctor is almost 2 hours behind and after that I was told they won't be able to finish the procedure in a timely manner to leave at 2 pm.I would assume by now you or your office should be efficient enough at anticipating one others inefficiencies. Here's an idea, how about stop being so selfish and money hungry and at least have only one delay not numerous ones.
Communication is not great. I feel like they are taking advantage of patients by not being completely transparent with costs and not responding to requests for information. I made an appointment after an ER visit for abdominal pain. The doctor wanted to do an upper and lower GI. That was all well and good. I called several times to get an estimate on what the procedures would cost. I had to leave messages and I never got a call back.... ever. Then I received a very large bill and have tried to contact them about working out payment plans or financial aid. Still NO CALL BACK! I spoke with one lady that told me that there was nothing that could be done now. It all had to be worked out before the procedure however, she did give the the number to the person in charge of that. Still no response and it has been weeks of trying. The lady said that it doesn't matter that I tried to get it worked out before hand and no one would return my many calls.
Terrible practice. Kept me waiting for almost 2 hours past my appt time then spent 15 minutes with me - interrupted to take a call during that 15 mins. Originally called the practice to schedule an endoscopy. They scheduled me with a dr that isn't available to do an endoscopy for 2 1/2 mths. When I asked for another Dr to perform it that is available sooner - they said the Dr. would not want to give me up as a patient as that would be less money for him. I literally only became his patient to get the endoscopy! They said that was scheduling's fault. What? Where is the customer service? And now he's not just lost a patient himself but the entire practice has lost me as a patient .
The Routine Colonoscopy that almost Killed Me.Went in for a routine Colonoscopy. Had a Polyp removed. By that evening, the point were the polyp was removed was perforated and in full peritonitis and sepsis poising. Had emergency surgery where 1/3 of my colon was removed. What was suppose to be a routine procedure with very low complications turned into a matter of life or death. Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates (AGA) was alerted, yet said: "It was probably just gas". The on-call doctor's call was slap shot. After it was determined to be a serious life or death complication, AGA refused transport to Northside Hospital for emergency surgery. Dr. Eisenband who performed the colonoscopy never followed-up, just ignored the entire situation caused at his hand.
Don't use these people unless you have absolutely no other options. Even relatively simple procedures come with a plethora of hidden fees, which they conveniently forget to mention when they ask you to fork over $500 upfront. The staff in their billing office are surly and ineffective, merely grunting and saying "yeah, you haven't paid" when asked about a bill I'd received... nine months after the procedure. This after I'd already paid the doctor, the anaesthesiologist and at least one pathology lab, on top of the aforementioned upfront $500. Oh, and I have insurance. Pretty good insurance, and I made sure that my doctor was in-network. As a previous reviewer said, the doctors and nurses are perfectly fine. Hence why this negative review is going specifically towards the AGA and their billing office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
