Was my first visit to Dr. Lopez-Armstrong. Office staff is friendly, but I literally had to wait a whole hour to be called back. Two patients came in after me and was seen before me. Once I got in the back I was thoroughly seen by the PA. I had blood drawn and bone density test done. From the time of my appointment 1pm to the time I was actually seen by the doctor was 3 hours. I had to call and reschedule my other doctors appointment because i was not going to be out in time. She came in and did the same thing the PA did but in less than 10 minutes. I got frustrated and started getting dressed to leave and reschedule when she came rushing out of another room and told me she was in a meeting. But you could hear laughing and key keying in the room with pharmaceutical reps. I explained my reasons for the visit(joint pain) and she did not prescribe a bit of medication even though I advised her the previous medication I was on was not working. She suggested shots in my knees. Still in pain. I had to wait at the front desk to check out for over 5 minutes due to them still laughing and key keying with the reps. I was literally the last patient to leave. I have a follow up in four weeks and the only time they had available was the rescheduled time for my appointment that I had to cancel because they were running behind. Their excuse was that they were having issues. I try to give doctors the benefit of the doubt but I just don’t know.
Yes depending on time of day you may wait to see the doctor but it is totally worth it. Dr. Lopez-Armstrong cares about her patients and spends extra time with them if it's needed. I have been going to this practice for over 2 years. She took the time to get to know me and has actually treated me. I finally have answers. The comments about her staff being rude are false. I have never had a bad experience with any of them. Yes you will hear laughing and genuine happiness from her staff and that is a good thing. Happy staff mean happy patients!
I don't recommend anyone to come here! My mother had an appointment here and they could not locate her records. They said that they were not sure if she was a patient already, so they made her fill out the intake paperwork again. As we were in the waiting room, which is by far too small, the front desk personal were VERY RUDE! I couldn't believe how they talk to their patients. It took an hour for my mother to be called, which I was not allowed to be in there with her, mind you the purpose of my going was to explain to the doctor her diagnosis from the referring doctor. I had to wait outside in the car for 3 hours. Her overall appointment lasted 4 hours, which is ridiculous! My mother will not be returning back to see this doctor. We found a better place with PROFESSIONAL staff!
This office is incredibly slow. I have had to wait over an hour in the waiting room at every appointment and then another 30-45 minutes sitting in a room waiting for the doctor. My second appointment, the doctor came in without having reviewed my chart at all- didn’t know my history and hadn’t reviewed any of my labs drawn at the previous appointment a month prior. I recently had to come off of 2 medications because I ran out prior to my next appointment and the doctor denied the refill. If you want an office who follows their appointment times closely and really takes the time to get to know their patients, this is not the place to go.
The wait times are HORRIBLE and Dr Armstrong is unapologetic about it. It seems to be a very common complaint of the patients sitting in the waiting room that wait times are over 2 hours very frequently. I have personally experienced this twice and have only visited 3 times. I was walking out, as several others have, after waiting for over an hour in the waiting room then abandoned in the exam room for 1 1/2 hours. Only when leaving did the staff say, oh she is almost to you. I have heard the same reaction as others have walked out. If a patient is getting an injection, they are told that the shot has already been prepared and they would be charged anyway. One patient was called and a message left after walking out, that she would be charged for the visit and injection room that never happened after a several hour wait. My wife says "see you in 4 hours" when I leave for an appointment with Dr. Armstrong.
I would highly recommend seeking other options before before being treated at North Fulton Rheumatology. Not only was Dr. Lopez argumentative when I disagreed with her treatment recommendation, but she also misdiagnosed my condition; as I later confirmed when seeking a second opinion. Be very careful here.
Dr.Armstrong is amazing. Although the wait time is long, she is WORTH the wait. Her reviews may not look stellar because all the people leaving them are just ready to complain. Her patients love her , because she really cares about all her patients. She isn’t just a stop and go doctor. She is incredible. The comment below me about her dog attacking is false!! I was there when it happened. Her dog is a therapy dog who doesn’t even bark. The dog is harmless and that is just someone being angry and making stuff up. Dr A is 5 stars!!!
Took my mom to her doctors appointment at this office and I had my one year old son with me. As I stepped inside to meet my mom at her room the doctor dog attacked my one year old son leaving him with scratches and a bite mark on his leg. The doctor told me that the dog thinks my son is a toy. When I explained to the doctor that my son got bite she said maybe he had a rash. I am highly upset that the staff and doctor could of careless about what happened. She never followed up or call to see if my son was ok or anything. So beware that there is a dog roaming around in this office and if you go with your kids make sure you hold them in your hands because the dog would attack them. I would be getting law enforcement involved because a dog attacking a child is harmful and dangerous. Also I think a dog in a doctor office is not sanitary at all .
Had a thorough exam by the PA and Dr. Lopez-Armstrong examined my achy knee and shoulder. Drained fluid in knee, gave shots in both and I feel much better. Thanks Dr. Ciela Lopez Armstrong!
Horrible service. Waited for a scheduled appointment for 2 hours, office is dirty and has pests!! They took a blood test and said it would cost me $50. Well I got a bill for $458. Doctor didn’t help me with anything, didn’t diagnose me, prescribed me pills that I wasn’t even able to get cause my insurance would not pay for that. Apparently they told me they cost $3000 and these r just for a back pain!! Never coming back, worst experience I have ever had!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
