Restore Health Group's Online Review Report Card

I had a traumatic brain injury on 12-20-2013. I had to learn how to walk talk eat and couldn't see out of my left eye. Praise Jesus I have got back to being able to do most things. I was sent here on March 11, 2014 by my husband. I was so angry with him. I hated having someone with me at all times. When I came back home 4-11-14 I wanted a divorce I was so angry. We had over a year of counseling with our pastor and today we're good. I thank him for sending me now for I know he did what he felt was right. Thanks that I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I know everything happens for a reason. My suggestion if you have a loved one who sustained a TBI first have them put on an anti depression medicine that will help them. Fortunately I never had to have my head cut open for it stopped bleeding the next morning but most people at Restore have and they will help them get back to the new normal. God Bless all the great people who put up with me for I was so full of anger I wasn't very nice. I worked at restore health group in Roswell Georgia ,for approximately two years. This facility would operate so much better, if there's a elimination process that begins from the department heads).firstly, (John Berry-director).Mr. Berry is unprofessional,rude,childish,and totally disrespectful, to most if not all of his staff ,especially to the( neurologial behavioral counselor's).He feels as if, he can say,or do whatever he wants,because of his title.if at anytime ,you disagree with (JB),you will be removed from the work schedule.(so you would want to have a second job-lol) In this type of working environment,you must be a team player.how can you be a team player,when there's no( team leaders) or (team's)?

Our adult daughter has been a resident at Restore Neurobehavioral Center in Roswell for more than three years. Traumatic brain injury is difficult to explain until you have lived it. For our family, the excellent program and caring staff at Restore have been a godsend. We have found both management and staff to be kind, responsive, and knowledgeable and with very little staff turnover. Our daughter has profound short-term memory loss but every single day she tells me again how much she enjoys Restore. We have eaten meals there with her many, many times and the food is very good and nutritious with several options for every meal. I don't believe I have ever seen them serve fried food and our daughter tells me every day what her evening meal was and how much she likes it. She goes on outings regularly, which she enjoys very much. The medical staff calls me for every incident of any kind that involves our daughter. The therapy staff members are extremely competent and able to discuss our daughter with me (I'm her guardian) in great detail. They KNOW her, respect her, and treat her like an adult. They accommodate family visits by driving her one-way more than 50 miles every other week (we return her in the afternoon). Restore has changed our daughter's life for the better and by doing so has given us great comfort that she is in good hands.  We highly recommend it.

The following review of RESTORE Health Group aka Restore Neurobehavioral Center, in Roswell GA is based on my personal experience and other reviews that I have read on the internet. The review is for informational purpose only.REVIEW:The general overall facility furnishings are old, damaged and looks like something you would find at a garage sale and put in a college dorm room. The aged furnishings are far from the standards you would expect to find in a professional TBI healthcare facility. In my opinion the rehabilitation equipment is low quality, inexpensive and is just enough to check appropriate boxes on insurance forms and claim that certain therapies are completed. While some of the staff is caring many others are borderline abusive to family and patients. I have witnessed firsthand a patient be yelled at and heavily chastised for removing a bottle of water out of the cafeteria area to a physical therapy session. Restore claims to have a structured process but has not been able to furnish this process in writing. The process is used more for staff excuses and manipulation rather than recovery of the patient. As you can read from other reviews on the internet, it reaffirms that the management staff is severely undertrained and lacks necessary people skills training. (When inquiring find out if the “Masters” degree education was an online course or if they actually attended a brick and mortar college.) It is my opinion that some of the personal I have interacted with may actually be some of the most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. How anyone could retain a position for such a long tenure is a mystery. I DO NOT recommend RESTORE Health Group aka Restore Neurobehavioral Center for any client based solely on my recent personal experience. Others may have had other experiences over the years and sincerely hope that is the case, however after exhaustive research, the bad far out weights the good. Remember buyer beware! I hope my review provides you with the courage to do you due diligence when dropping off a family member at Restore. I have noticed positive reviews posted by current “management” obviously this is clearly an attempt to do damage control. This person has a sick obsession with parking and the schedule. If you don't work a schedule you're asked you get punished with your days for the coming week. You get full time hours, but won't get offered full time employment, favoritism in races has been noticed as well. Management is a joke, they will watch you work and give you no assistance, the team work with the employees is wonderful. Working with the staff is the most enjoyable part of the day and of course the clients. The behavior specialist, PT, OT, and speech therapist looks down on you as if you're beneath them. They will not communicate with staff, but will take the time to send a email and CC everyone but the person it is pertaining and make it into something that is nothing. The shift coordinators are ok they just don;t stick up for they staff the way they should. A horrible p;ace to work in my opinion.
