List of Wellstar North Fulton Hospital's Reviews
Everyone was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Labor & Delivery.Overall my experience with north Fulton’s labor and delivery unit was okay. I arrived to deliver my daughter early in the morning around 4am. The staff on that shift wasn’t the best. They weren’t attentive to my needs and didn’t brother to explain things with detail, even after I asked multiple times. Thank God for shift change at 7am. The blonde nurse Kristian (9/15) was literally heaven sent! She not only listened to my needs and concerns, she also advocated for me with the midwife to make sure I was finally able to push after hours of going through an unmedicated labor and not seeing a midwife at all. She made sure I got a chance to use the bathroom by inserting a catheter even after the night staff simply dismissed my inability to go (baby’s head placement prevented me from peeing on my own). Kristian was nice and extremely informative but most of all, she genuinely seemed interested in helping me have a successful birth that resembled the birth I had planned! Also, nurse Katy (I hope that’s her name) who took care of us after delivery was also very helpful, kind, and funny!-nurses Marcey, Ronda, & Kim - also amazing!-& lactation nurse Joyce was also so helpful!!!!These nurses really embodied what I imagined for my birthing experience!
Birthed my baby here. Did not trust the nurses but Dr. Dunson Allen was excellent. The nurses treated my baby like he was a toy doll and I thought that was unprofessional. They took him for hours just to hold and pass him around . This is not ok especially during Covid … to have random nurses in his face because he looks cute is not ok. On top of that they had me on narcotics while I was breastfeeding. And they assured me that it would not harm the baby. Once I was discharged, The pediatrician said narcotics can and will transfer to the baby. When I asked the nurses about the narcotics they should have taken the question seriously instead of just lying. One nurse didn’t even check on me for hours for her initial assessment. She lied and said I was sleeping, but the room doors are very loud when opened and I wasn’t sleeping for hours waiting on my nurse to come so that I could get pain meds for my c section pain. I just don’t think the nursing team was nicu professional for the most part. They lost my trust.
I'm not even sure if these people are real doctors... prescribed the most outrageous tests for my condition, none of which were necessary and not needed as the condition was no where close to life threatening. Seemed as if the doctor was just throwing blind darts when attempting to diagnose my condition. Seemed as if they did not even remotely listen to me describe my situation, symptoms, or anything... disappointed with the service provided as well as the bill I received. Total ignoramuses'
Should not call themselves an emergency room.
I Was honestly scared to try out this hospital for birth due to its reviews but I wanted to go through with a water birth here so I just took the chance . Honestly the sweetest nurses I was laughing through labor pains with them and after they treated me above and beyond ! When I got switched rooms the nurses were always checking on mama after. These ladies don’t get the recognition they deserve . I would definitely come here again if I were to get pregnant again !
Conflicting philosophies. Confusing care. No one listened.
I was told wrong information from the nurses, and received no care besides a Tylenol and two small cups of water. Let’s see what the bill is…
Probably the worst hospital you can go to for any sort of traumatic injury. Doctor and nurses seemed like they just wanted to get me in and out as fast as possible. Came in with a severe ankle break, and they completely missed that I was also dislocated. Put me on fentanyl and hydrocodone and sent me home without even resetting it. Essentially told me I wasn’t actually experiencing the pain I was in. Thankfully I found another doctor who cleared his schedule for me to have surgery immediately, as leaving the ankle dislocated for any longer (had already been 36+ hours) could have caused major problems (in addition to already worsening the effects of the break). Careless staff who don’t actually care to see you heal, just want to make money off of you and get you out of their hair.
The worst service ever this place is horrible I will never come here even if I was gonna die I would find somewhere else to go I been sitting here fir hours and no one cares all the white people was seen super fast but the black peoples was seen last I hate this place. And I would advise black people don’t wast your time you may die in the process

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
