I had esophageal cancer stage 3. Fernando and his team gave chemo treatments to save my life. They were so kind. He is a great guy and hero. Words don't express my graditude to these nurses. Dr. Fernando is a skilled oncologist and a wonderful person. He takes the time to answer questions and I completely trust him with my ongoing care. I've moved out of the area, but will remain a patient. His office staff is both pleasant and efficient.

When my father in law has been a super healthy and active person. And then it felt like out of no where he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. While we are early in his treatment, we have all been super impressed with Dr. Fernando and his team that surrounds him. Dr. Fernando is a great listener. He answers questions and explains all of our options clearly. We feel like he is super thoughtful in thinking through treatment options. And finally, he makes us feel like we are his priority as we never feel rushed.

Excellent office staff. Friendly. Sometimes ov notes aren't correct though. Very soft spoken and mild mannered so doesn't always generate patient confidence. However always gets the job done. I think he does a lot of work outside the office visit. Very refreshing bc my last oncologist didn't and that's why I'm stage 4 now and dr Fernando had "mess" to fix. Glad he took my case.

Had full body scan because of an issue with blood in urine and a bone lesion. Was referred to Dr Fernando, and saw him today at Northside. I was impressed with the way he looked at all my blood results and explained all components to me to justify his diagnosis. He spoke to me directly and eyeball to eyeball. There was no typing into the computer while talking. It was an awesome experience and he took the time to answer all questions my wife and I had.

Have been seeing Dr. Fernando for a number of years, and he has been an excellent doctor for me. I have a rare form of lukemia, and once diagnosed, fortunately with treatment, it has been in remision for a number of years. Dr. Fernando has been superlative in treating it.

The words can not describe how good Nishan Fernando as a Doctor. I completely agree with one of the reviewer here "Amazing caring doctor with exceptional bedside manner". I have not met any of such Dr since my child hood, the time when Dr.'s were genuinely interested in "What is best for the patient!". And not what is best for my pocket. I am an immigrant living in US for last 18 years and have seen changes happened in Medical Profession.
