Peak Pediatric Dentistry's Online Review Report Card

Place is well ran every time we go. They are always very educational and make my kiddos experience a great one. Highly recommend. We have been going there since she popped her first tooth when she was 1. She’s now 3 and she always remembers this dental office and Dr Amiee.

I chose this practice for my sons' first pediatric dental visit. They came very highly recommended by friends and I loved the convenience. However, I found the experience to be very lacking. We had a morning appointment and were the only patients in the building. I went to the appointment by myself with my two young toddlers. The administration check-in team was not warm nor friendly. Nor where they helpful in helping me calm down both boys (who began crying as soon as we entered the building). Both hygienists were fine but did not introduce themselves (I had to ask their names to tell the boys?) and did not do much at all to calm the boys down or patiently explain what they were going to do. My children cried the ENTIRE VISIT, absolutely terrified. One child had to be in my lap during the exam while the other one was hanging onto me. The rest of the staff ignored us, all engrossed in their own tasks. It just seemed pretty underwhelming when we were the only family in the building. Dr. Cassinelli did come over and speak to me about a dental question I had for my oldest and tried to explain protocol/next steps while the boys are crying, completely afraid. Again, it's not like the staff did anything to distract/engage/pacify them at all so I could have a 2-minute chat with the dentist. The first visit was quick (as in, 15 minutes quick) and not cheap. I was kind of expecting that for our first time so that is ok. The boys did receive a small toy--but tell me daily that they do not want to go back to the dentist. Perhaps this practice is better suited for older children. We will not be returning.

Inappropriate: I got a message and email to confirm an appointment scheduled the next day. I immediately responded with a request to cancel the appointment since it is during work/school hours and we would not be able to make it. My appointment was canceled however they had a credit card on file and I was charged $85 for a missed appointment. We had not missed the appointment and we cancelled more than 24 hours ahead of time. When I called, I was told that they have a two day cancellation policy. If that is the case, then they should have sent out the reminder for the appointment two days prior to the appointment. The person on phone was not helpful at all. I’m very disappointed.

Our toddler had a great first experience at the dentist! Dr Aimee and staff couldn’t have been more sweet and made it quick and easy!!

We’re new to Atlanta and so grateful to have found Dr. Cassinelli at Peak Dentistry. She treated my son’s dental issue in one visit—with compassion, precision, and amazing results. He feels brand new! Highly recommend.

I chose this practice for my daughter’s first dental visit specifically because of the many glowing reviews, and I really wanted her first experience to be a positive, welcoming one. While nothing about the visit was bad, it was unfortunately very underwhelming — especially for a young child’s first time. There was no warm welcome or attempt to help ease her nerves, no explanation of what to expect in kid-friendly terms, and overall very little engagement with her directly. My spouse and I found ourselves taking the lead in trying to make her feel comfortable and engaged, which we didn’t expect to have to do. The visit itself was quick and informative, and she did receive a small goody at the end, which was appreciated. But in comparison to what I’ve heard from other parents about first-time pediatric dental visits, this just wasn’t the experience we had hoped for. Perhaps it was an off day, or maybe this office is better suited for older kids who are already familiar with the dentist. Either way, I wouldn’t personally recommend it for a first-time visit.

We had a great experience with Dr. Cassinelli. She really knows her stuff. We had an out of town emergency with our 23 month old and went to children’s urgent care last night and the doctor recommended her. We were able to make an appointment for peak dentistry last night while we were at the urgent care for today. She addressed our concerns promptly and did an X-ray, diagnosed our baby and put our minds at ease. I 100% recommend her and this office.

We had a great experience at Peak. Dr. Aimee was amazing—she took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and you could tell she truly cares about her patients. I love sooo much that they could get us in so quickly! They were able to see us within 1 day of calling. Most other practices were 1-2 months! Our son’s tongue tie was not severe, so Dr. Aimee was on the fence about whether the procedure was necessary. I actually appreciated that she wasn’t quick to perform it unnecessarily. She gave us the option to see a lactation consultant she trusted for a second opinion, which I really valued. That consultant ultimately agreed that the procedure would be beneficial, and we moved forward with it. For parents in a similar situation, I’d recommend being prepared to explain all feeding challenges in detail to help guide the conversation, which I don’t think I did enough during our initial consultation. Also, the procedure is self-pay only (which I found is common with other practices as well), and you can submit to insurance yourself. The out-of-pocket cost is $700+. Overall, we were very happy with Dr. Aimee’s thoughtful approach and highly recommend her!

The staff at Peak are the best. They are so loving and outgoing for each child and their individual needs. Hands down the perfect practice for my boys.
