Was critical in curing my throat cancer!!
Drove three hours so that my dad could have the best doctor - Dr. Bordoni. He has given him the best treatment, recommendations and care.
Dr. Bordoni never hesitates to spend time with patients and explain things in a very patient, knowledgeable way. As a professor in the science field, I value this quality very much. He is at the top of his field and dedicated to keeping all doctors on a patient's team on the same page. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
My mother was being seen by Bordoni. When she first went to him he ran a CT scan to confirm her lung cancer diagnosis, a week had past, no word from him. She had to call and find results. She ended up getting really sick and was hospitalized. Never notified the family of any test while in hospital, needed information, or what the plan was to attempt to get her better. Had to call around to find anything out and leave messages with nurses. At unease the entire time. Took us getting irratable with people to get a hold of him. Even requested family meeting, no word. The family Saw him once the entire 2 weeks of her being hospitalized. After not fully upstanding the state she was in, he came in at 8 o'clock at night and told her the cancer had spread and there wasn't much they could do. She received this information alone. He also told her he would be back the next morning with the specialist. Noted in the charts he would be there by 7am. My brother took off work to go find out what was going on and no one every showed up. Turns out he went on vacation. What kind of doctor tells someone such news and takes off the next day without speaking with the family? Very heartless. This is just the short version. I would not recommend him at all. Take your loved ones go a doctor who cares.
I have been in Dr Bordoni's care for about three years and he is a wonderful doctor. He is quite thorough in addressing all of my health concerns and takes the time to answer all of my questions. He ultimately leaves all decisions up to me but offers as much advice as I desire. He has a great network of other top notch doctors that he will recomend and can get quick answers from them when needed. Yes he is usually at least an hour late on his appointments but many doctors that I refuse to see again are that late also. I don't mind the wait for a quality doctor such as Bordoni.
My husband was under Dr Bordoni's care for 18 months. During his final days, he was in hospital for 25 days. Dr. Bordoni did not personally visit him or me one time during his stay, but rather left patient/spouse care to a Nurse Practioner, who was less than caring. I would not recommend him.
