List of Tamu Brown's Reviews
Have been seeing Dr. Brown for several years, she has removed moles painlessly. Very good experiences.
I have received excellent treatment from Dr.Tamu Brown during the past five years. She is an excellent doctor who actively listened, diagnosed and treated my problems to resolve the dermatological conditions. I would not hesitate to refer Dr. Brown to family and friends.
Wasted my money going to this doctor. She told me stuff that I can read off google . No proper diagnosis or advice .
Dr. Brown was great, she is very professional. Saw her for a growth by my ear I've had for almost a year and also a full body check. She explained everything she was doing and saw. I saw her at the Old Milton pkwy location.
Dr. Brown was great, she is very professional. Saw her for a growth by my ear I've had for almost a year and also a full body check. She explained everything she was doing and saw. Everyone at the office at Old Milton were professional.
I saw Dr. Brown for a painful mole on my scalp. The front office staff was kind and efficient, I sat down in a waiting room chair and within 1 minute was called back and placed in an exam room. The back office staff was great as well. Dr. Brown came into the exam room within a few minutes and listened to my concerns and then evaluated the issue and discussed different options. She was fabulous and I will be scheduling a follow up with her in the future.
Felt rushed, like I was in important and in addition found the office very dirty and outdated. If you just want to throw your money and time away, this is thr dermatologist to visit. Never, ever going back again.
This was the absolute worst experience at a doctors office. I went to see Dr. Brown because of a skin condition that I have been suffering with for two years. Without letting me finish explaining everything I have already tried and things previous doctor's have diagnosed me with she took a look and within five seconds says, "oh, that is acne". No, it isn't. I have tried NUMEROUS acne medications on my skin and none work. I have been told by other doctors that what I have is not acne. She recommended we that we biopsy it so I agreed. She gave me a shot to numb and biopsies it ten seconds later without letting the numbing shot set in. She then says, "If it comes back as folliculitis that is acne." And I said "okay, I understand it is a FORM of acne but how can I treat it and why does it keep coming back?" She said, "There is no way to treat it. We can give you things to manage it but there is nothing that will get rid of it. Some people have Scoliosis and some people have skin problems, which would you rather have? I have to deal with the fact that I'm 5'5. No one is perfect." LIKE WHAT? How insensitive can you be? Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Dr. Brown does not care about her patients or their problems. Having skin issues can alter your self confidence and you don't need her to make you feel even worse about yourself. I literally left crying. *2 weeks after my biopsy* I called today to find out what my results were because no one has called me. The receptionist let me know that they have had my biopsy results and didn't call me to let me know what they are... She said a nurse would be in touch with me. I have gone two weeks with no treatment waiting on my results, you'd think they would be sensitive to that and try to resolve this as quickly as possible. Or at least a real doctor who cared about the wellbeing of their patients would.
I will not recommend anyone visit Dr. Tamu Brown. Very bad experience with Dr. Brown, the dermatologist. Dr Brown did not let a family member join me, as she knew what to ask the doctor in this situation. She did not listen to my complaints that I told the nurse, who wrote them in the notes. Dr. Brown did not address them properly. She answered my questions with incomplete responses and did not spend enough time in the room explaining the medical issue to me. In the follow-up appointment, Dr Brown hurried out of the room after removing my stitches, and did not provide enough information about the lab results and follow-up care. I am still very confused about my rash, which is still persisting 2 months after the initial pop-up. Dr. Brown did not provide the proper treatment and was not very helpful at all. She did not treat me properly. Do not visit her, all the doctors are in a rush and just want to make money. She did not properly see me or provide the proper care. I still have a terrible scar in my skin from the treatment.
Had a visit today first time. Her bedside manners are terrible. She compares you not brushing your teeth to dry skin an says if you don't you will be a hot mess. I wish I read the reviews before I went to her. I see why she was easy to book an appointment with. If I could give a zero I would.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
