List of Thomas Eye Group's Reviews
If I could give zero stars.. I would! I had an appointment at 2:30pm and did not check-out until 5:30 pm. The techs are not aware of the policies here and give false information. I came her regarding headaches and have met my family max on my insurance, yet I ended up paying $55 dollars for a prescription that I DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR all because they did not inform me of what procedures I was receiving until it was time to pay. Dr. Blasberg is a quack and told me my vision was perfectly fine when I have had a worsening stigmatism since I was 10 years old. I was put back into the waiting room 3 times and had to wait 30 minutes each just to be told that I was fine. All in all, this place is not convenient or helpful. I could have gone to America's Best for free and for the same information I received. 10 out of 10 DO NOT recommend. This place if for geriatric patients in need of surgery and very little else.
I've been a customer of Thomas Eye Group for years. After a (long) visit last week, I realized that I did not receive the attention that a patient deserves. My prescription is not right, which makes sense due to the fact that I was not actually examined by my doctor. After receiving my dilation drops, I waited for over an hour to be seen again (finally by my doctor). I saw my doctor for about 5 minutes total, which I understand they are busy. I was then fitted for contact lenses. They felt fine, but things were still a little blurry due to the dilation and I never received reversal drops. After a few days, I realized that my new contact lens prescription was completely off. Now I need to circle back and start this process over again. In addition, some of the employees were outwardly talking about how they couldn't wait to leave for the day. I get it, work is hard, but as a customer/patient it's just not something you want to hear. When calling the contact lens department, I felt like I was inconveniencing them. The only person that seemed happy to help was the person that brought me back and gave me my initial exam. I will not be returning.
The place you need to come if you have kids with special needs! Hats off to Dr. Berland I had to go to two different eye doctors because my daughter wasn’t able to stay still but Dr. Berland and His Staff are equipped and trained for special needs kids!! Thank you so much Thomas Eye Group
Very simple review from us. Appointment at 2:30. We haven’t seen the doctor at 4:21pm now. My son sleep in the chair. Ridiculous.
I believe they have too many patients here. Nobody follows up and its just a bunch of confusion especially upstairs with the Lasik and Esthetics department. No calls back voicemails full. Horrible experience
The doctor was phenomenal! Front office did their job! I can't say the same for the staff in contact lense area. Horrible wait time. Horrible service. HORRIBLE!
Be advised that you could be charged extra. Not all personnel will show you decent respect. Just find a regular optometrist, eve. If you have pay extra, you will save over all
They need air purifiers in the waiting rooms. They are always crowded and congested, employees wear masks improperly and never expect to be seen in a timely manner.
My son and I are new patients and our experience has been frustrating! My appt with a specific doctor for lasik was changed to a regular optician without my permission. As a result I had to do a second appt (and untimely a third!).They are very automated to the point patients get run around from one system to the next vs helped by the staff. I dealt with that, but this was the last straw.I accompanied my son to his contact appt. This is the first time for him. I was told I couldn’t join him for the fitting because “there wasn’t any room”. As you can see that is NOT the case and he was only 10 feet from where I was standing. We were here for over an hour for this appt and the chair remained empty. The biggest problem I have here is getting lied to and jerked around - especially when I took off work to go on this appt with my kid. If there is a “real reason” tell me that. My experienceis 1 star …clearly the patient experience isn’t the priority nor are we given much respect.I dont recommend soley based on how frustrating it is to be their customer.
Dr Berland and his staff were exceptional. The office is a well oiled machine and it was a highlight of my day to have this positive experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
