In the past 5 years Dr. Abby Abisogun has given me exceptional medical care and has the ability to listen be understanding and patient with my questions.

The 5 stars are for Dr Abby herself… not Southcoast. Southcoast is a horribly run establishment and I’m glad she’s leaving it to start her own practice soon. Dr. Abby seems a little dry and unfriendly at first but after the first couple of visits … I definitely warmed up to her and I value her expertise. She’s a good doctor and she knows her stuff. I would recommend my loved ones and friends to her.

Dr. Abby is a very caring and informative Doctor she listens to me and answers all my medical concerns. My A1C has decreased substantially and I thank her for that. The staff is very friendly and caring. Im also known as A. Bryant

One of the greatest jewels of the Georgia medical field Dr. Abisogun is exceptional She is not only a brilliant diagnostician but compassionate caring and thorough in patient assessment and treatment. I never feel rushed at my appointments as she takes time to listen to me. I actually consider myself blessed to have her as my physician as she has made a hugely positive difference in my medical care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I began seeing Dr Abby after my previous endocrinologist refused to help me reach my goals. After my first virtual visit with Dr Abisogun I knew that I was on the right path to being able to successfully managing my diabetes. She listened carefully to my concerns and suggested several paths we would take to regain control. With her help I am definitely seeing improvements. At the risk of making it more difficult to secure future appointments with her I must give her the most stellar recommendation if youre looking for caring and resourceful endocrinologist. Dr. Abbi is extremely attentive and knowledgeable. She’s the only endocrinologist I feel that has given me 5 star care.

I leave two stars for Dr. Abby Abisogun because she is clearly a knowledgeable and experienced physician who was able to give me some guidance for the issue I was having.This all depends on whether you can even speak to her in the first place which is unlikely. Dr. Abisogun is badly in need of a new crew of office staff and nurses who know how to treat patients with a modicum of respect.After waiting weeks and weeks to even be seen by Abisogun I was happy to finally be prescribed a medication that could help. It was denied by my insurance but I was assured by someone at her office that it was a simple matter to provide prior authorization to approve of the medication. I hung up the phone and never heard from them again.Six months go by with total silence from Abisogun and her staff. It had gotten to a point that I suspected she mightve died from COVID19. I finally got an answer this week from a member of her staff Dr. Abisogun had dropped my insurance no one had told me and now I was out an endocrinologist. Tough luck for me.Bottom line Dr. Abisogun is an effective and intelligent doctor. Just dont ever expect her to see you.

Dr. Abby is amazing She is so knowledgeable and attentive. It took about 5 months for me to finally see her as a new patient but it was well worth the wait for me as a type one diabetic.

It is unfortunate that I have to leave this review before I can even get in to see Dr. Abby Abisogun. I want to preface this review with the hard truth of the medical climate here in Savannah Georgia. It is toxic it predated it is completely unprofessional. I have had the unfortunate luck of living here for over 10 years and trying several doctors in this area. The atmosphere and lack of care shows a failure in the local healthcare system.What makes this even worse is that more often than not a person has to make an appointment with a doctor not because they want to spend a pleasant morning or afternoon chatting it up with a physician but because there is something wrong. And more times than not the person is scared about their health and anxious about visiting the doctor. Because of this one would think that before you even get in to see the actual doctor your experience with the office staff and nurses would be an experience that puts you at ease and helps to calm the nervousness of being ill or having a condition that could potentially change your life. Or bring on your death. However the mannerisms of individuals working in physicians’ offices in Savannah leaves much to be desired. I have never experienced such rude condescending and demoralizing behavior from people who CHOSE to work in the medical SERVICE industry.So when I called to make an appointment with Dr. Abisogun I understood that it would be a process. I did not choose to call I was advised to do so by my gynecologists office an office that I drive FOUR HOURS to visit when I need a doctor because I have been treated so poorly in Savannah Georgia. I started my adventures with Savannahunprofessionalism last week when I called and had the unfortunate luck of speaking to Khadija who did not want to give me any helpful information so that I could have my information sent for a referral. A person who was filling in for the actual person in charge of taking appointments but who would not help me at all. I jumped through all the hoops I was asked to jump through but could not get anyone else to answer the phone until a week later when Nikki answered and very rudely told me that I would need to wait 10 days to even find out if they received the fax that was sent from my doctor last week. A. FAX. I had to beg her to simply look my name up to see whether the referral was even received so I would know if I should bother my doctor yet again for another request and after interrupting me several times told me it is Monday and I wouldnt even know what to do with your information if I received it. Its unfortunate that this was all I was able to find out today meanwhile my health concerns are up in the air and my gynecologist has no idea where to go from here.It was before submitting this lengthy review that I decided I was done looking for any professional physician here in Savannah Georgia. I believe that if you as a doctor are serious about medicine and about your patients and their health and experience with your care that you would be a lot more discerning about whom you hire to represent your office. You may be an exceptional physician but to patients in pain and feeling uncertain you are only as good as the experience we have with your office staff. All it takes is the proper training and emphasis on customer service and common courtesy in the care of your patients to make a small difference in someones experience. First impressions are everything and sometimes your only chance to win someone over.Dr. Abisogun obviously doesnt regard the experience of her patients enough to ensure that those of us who call to give our hardearned money for care and treatment are treated with dignity and respect by the people answering her office calls. It is not enough to be a good doctor you must also be a good administrator to your employees. My experience so far is enough to tell me I need to continue traveling the miles to see people who are professional efficient and who care about me. Just not in Savannah.
