Barry Schlafstein's Online Review Report Card

I am a 60 year old female with stage 2 prolapse. Dr. Barry is the best doctor I have ever met in my life. He cares about his patience. He takes time to explain details. It takes time to get an appointment. It's obvious this man is in great demand. His staff is great and they respect him. The Candler hospital which he is affiliated with, is a good place to be when you need a hospital. I think these folks have Mayo beat by a long shot. Why? Because they care about their patience, it's not just a job.

Dr. Schlafstein is the best doctor ever! He fixed me when I thought nobody else could. I had a very rare procedure done that nobody could perform, except for him and within 2 months I was fully healed and back to normal, thanks to him! Dr. Schlafstein is very nice, caring, educated. and he is very professional. He goes into detail and he explains everything. Also the staff at his office are great. I’m very thankful that I was referred to him. During my consultation he immediately recognized my problem and got me put in surgery as soon as he could. If it wasn’t for him, I would’ve never been fixed. I definitely recommend Dr. Schlafstein, he’s a great doctor/surgeon!

I have to say that the procedure I needed to have had me worried but once I met Dr Barry that all went away simply put he is the best and I love him.and his staff so thankful he was my doctor if you looking for the best care in gynecology Dr Barry is the best in the city a true class act !! The best Dr. i've ever had! Dr. Schlafstein can do what most say that they couldn't! I had a issues with fibroids (17 enlarged). EVER obgyn I want 2 wanted to do a hysterectomy due to the size of the fibroids, however I want to have it least 1 child, because I don't have any. On my 1st visit Dr. Schlafstein said he could perform a myomectomy to remove the fibroids and keep my uterus in tact (I took everything in me not to cry) and I could have a child, so stop being old fashioned and get in it lol (im 44). During the visit he also told me my tattoo might look different because of the location and he would add something so I would keloid. My surgery was 4/12/21. I got my staples removed 4/15/21 and surgical tape removed 4/28/21. You can not tell I had anything done down there! The tattoo is lined up PERFECT and I feel great! Dr. Barry is professional his bedside manners is outstanding. Most doctors are in business for the money only, but not Dr. Schlafstein. He intrigued and loves what he does i love him!!!!

I can honestly say that I love my doctor. He is very passionate about his work and his patients and it shows. When explained everything that he did and some extras that he found that needed repairing and how he fixed it, I was amazed. If you are wondering, still searching, stop now. Dr. Barry is it. His staff is amazing. They are professional and seem to handle everyone with care. I'm over pleased with how I was handled. Oh and if you need surgery, the staff at St. Joseph's Candler was off the charts with customer service. I have never been treated so well. I felt like royalty with their level of care. I have never experienced anything like this before. I am so pleased with all of the services that I received. You can't go wrong with Br. Barry, his staff, and St. Joseph's Candler.

I suffered from fibroids for years trying herbal remedies that did little to help. Finally after becoming anemic, I decided it was time to seek help so I asked my primary care doctor for a referral and thank God I was sent over to Dr. Schlafstein because he's a true blessing. He listened to all of my concerns during my consultation, never rushed me and we decided upon a myomectomy as my best option. Dr. Schlafstein managed to remove 17 fibroids (some large) without a transfusion and through a bikini cut! He visited me in the hospital and I recovered quickly thank God, because I was really nervous about surgery. His office staff and the hospital staff are so friendly and professional I would recommend Dr. Schlafstein to anyone who needs surgery especially if you have larger fibroids. He is the best !

After years of procrastination, I finally decided to have a medically necessary procedure done and was referred to Dr. Schlafstein. He was kind, and answered all of my questions while explaining what needed to be done. He also provided literature which helped to calm my nerves and let me make the best decision for me. His staff is wonderful as well.

From the very first visit I knew that Dr Schlafstein was the doctor I wanted to perform my surgery. Dr Schlafstein and his staff are very professional.

Dr. Schlafstein is such a kind and compassionate doctor! He is really a miracle worker! I had a very severe problem with incontinence and he did a state of the art procedure injecting botox in my bladder. He explained everything that would happen in surgery and addressed any concerns I had. He really listened to me and spent all the time that was necessary to ensure that I was totally comfortable. After the surgery I felt like a new person! No more worries about not making it to the restroom. He really gave me my life back and I will forever be grateful to this amazing man! The way that this procedure changed my life is indescribable. Thank you Dr. Schlafstein. You really are the best in your field! I have been recommending him to all my friends who suffer similar issues, and I most certainly feel very comfortable to recommend him to anyone reading this review!
