Dr. James Garber Surgeon at Memorial Hospital, Savannah, GA. Is an Excellent Dr. & Surgeon. He performed a major Liver Surgery on me removing 2/3rd. Of my Liver due to a baseball size cancerous tumor. His before surgery, his during surgery skills and the after care he gave me was above and beyond his call of duty! He has a very outgoing personality listens to your needs and concerns, he explains every aspect of your medical needs! I highly recommend him as a Dr. and a Surgeon

Dr. Garber is the best surgeon in the world. He operated on me for pancreatic cancer - the Whipple surgery - I am so thankful he was recommended to us. Thank you Dr. Garber!

Surgery went well but had return due to a complication with the incision in my armpit. A tendon was being stretched beginning at the incision site and restricted my arm movement. I went back to see Dr Garber, he looked, said that it looked fine a washed his hands and left. Not kidding, 30 seconds total. Then I was charged 60 for copay and my insurance was billed. Basically, I left feeling foolish and I still can’t raise my arm. Surgery is not just the work of a brilliant mind and steady hands but also that of a humble, compassionate heart ... quote by me!

Doctor Garber, Pam, Nursing Staff and the Residents have all been awesome. Thorough assessments, competent surgeries performed and timely follow through appointments (plus stitches removed without pain - have to love that).

Dr. Garber is an absolutely brilliant surgeon. He performed a very difficult surgery flawlessly and has followed me through the entire recovery process. He and his staff spent as much time as needed with me to ensure I understood and was comfortable every step of the way and there has always been someone available when I needed them.
