He's an excellent doctor!!!

In 2007 I was diagnosed with stage 3 Cervical Cancer. I'd had problems and just kept putting off going to the Dr and then one day everything had gotten worse so I made an appointment at a clinic that Dr Burke just happened to be helping at and I Thank God for leading me there because Dr Burke actually saw the cancer when he was about to perform the exam.I'll admit,he wasn't real gentle in telling me,but he acted on it very fast and told his Nurse to get inn touch with someone ASAP to get me on insurance and to set me an appt with his office so we could get treatment started immediately.I couldn't have a hysterectomy because the cancer was to spread out so he called for aggressive chemo and radiation.I was so very sick and wasn't sure I would make it,but I believe God put me in the right place at the right time and to this day 2022 I am still cancer free.The Nurse that day I was fortunate to get Dr Burke because he was the best.

I am forever thankful for Dr. Burke and his team. He takes time to listen to your concerns and honestly answer them. He is not only a amazing doctor but he cares about his patients and has a very positive attitude. He is a amazing surgeon. Would highly recommend Dr.Burke if you are diagnosed with any cancer.

I was referred to Dr. Burke and he was awesome. Very very personable and caring. Unlike the referring Dr. He was able to do my surgery right away and explained very thing very well. I was so very happy with his care and expertise.

Dr. Burke and his staff took wonderful care of me . I just want to say thank y’all for everything.

Dr.James Burke you and your staff is the best you make us feel more like we are family my mom feels very comfortable having you as her doctor and also your nurses are very professional very understanding very knowledgeable and courteous also your receptionist or just the sweetest staff that makes you feel very comfortable I thank you so much for making my mom feel comfortable in day surgery my family and I will recommend you to friends and family will be seeing you soon thank you so much and we appreciate you from our heart.

Doctor was extremely condescending- I was referred by the Howard Center. He told me he didn’t know why I was there because he’s not a pain doctor he’s a cancer doctor. He didn’t offer to do a PAP or even have a genuine interest in anything I was saying. The CNA was TERRIBLE such a moody person. Very hostile and unorganized environment. I got no real answers from this office but I did get the doctors comment on the incision site of my breast augmentation that he shook his head about because he thinks it’s a reduction incision. I will never come back to this practice.

I'm not a very good patient, in that I am incredibly nervous and anxious before any procedure. I must admit that in spite of this, Dr. Burke provided me with an absolutely excellent experience. I had a D&C and Hysteroscopy following a problematic PAP smear to establish that it would be safe to proceed with a Hysterectomy. Both procedures (roughly a month apart) were absolutely perfect. The D&C and Hysteroscopy were performed in the day surgery center and I had minor spotting afterward and almost zero pain. The hysterectomy performed about a month later in the same-day surgery center was able to be completed vaginally and even unbelievably I had less discharge and pain than the previous procedure. I was able to be discharged at my request to go home about 8-1/2 hours after my procedure and have felt absolutely fantastic since. I would recommend Dr. Burke to any woman requiring such services without hesitation.

Everyone from the lady at the check in desk-whose name I did not get- to Dr Burke was very friendly, informative, and professional. Sarah, the PA was quick and efficient. In addition to Dr Burke, I saw Dr Anderson, a resident, and an intern during a new patient appointment. I have surgery next week and have complete confidence in the abilities and professionalism of each person on Dr Burke’s Team. I would definitely recommend Dr Burke and his team to anyone.
