I was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and needed an emergency appendectomy about 3 weeks ago. I was in the ER department at Memorial Health and Dr. Dunne was consulted to perform my surgery. He came to see me prior to surgery and explained the procedure. He was very professional, courteous and had a great bedside manner which is very important to me. I was very apprehensive about being in the hospital without any family members being able to be there due to COVID-19 restrictions but Dr. Dunne and the staff at Memorial Health made me feel at ease. I went into surgery at about 8:30 pm and got to go home the following day at noon. I received great care from Dr. Dunne performing the surgery up to the staff nurses and resident physicians who cared for me until I was discharged. I was able to go back to work in one week following my surgery. I attribute this to the excellent expertise of Dr. Dunne and his dedication to medicine. I truly appreciate him being involved in my care. He comes highly recommended from my recent experience. As a healthcare professional myself, I couldn’t have chosen a better surgeon to perform my surgery. Thanks again to Dr. Dunne and the staff at Memorial Health for my wonderful experience under your care. This is where I will choose to receive all of my care. Job well done! Windy Poindexter
