List of Joe D Christian's Reviews
I made appointment to find the cause and cure for some numbness but he prescribed a very dangerous and addictive pain killer (Gabepentin), which I didn't take after reading about it. Appears that some doctors are more of a Pharmaceutical Rep than a physician that wants to cure the illness of his patients. What about the "Do not harm" commitment. I recommend that you research (Mayo Clinic, Wikipedia etc) if Alpha Lipoic Acid is right to cure your peripheral nerothopy. You want to find the cure for the cause of your illness. God bless you.
I am a new patient for Dr. Christian. I like that he has a dedicated nursing staff. When I called their number to schedule an additional procedure Laranda (sp?) was very helpful and friendly.
He is the best internist I have ever had and there have been several. Extremely personable, listens, doesn't nag or patronize me. A wonderful doctor.
While Doctor Christian is a good internest, the people who answer the phone aren't. I'm not sure if it's the people who answer the phone or the doctor, but he never returns phone calls. I've called three times for my mother (this isn't the first incident) who is 87 and fractured her ribs. She just wants to talk to her doctor and I can only surmise that he simply doesn't give a damn. Time to get a new doctor.
Dr. Christian is an awesome internist and has been my PCP for several years!
Everyone is great!!!
Minimal wait time. Listens well and provides relatable feedback. Confirms insurance prior to ordering tests!
Initial visit with Dr. Christian. Listened and charted for the record as we went through the basics of this H&P. Answered my questions, looked me in the eye when communicating. Down to earth presentation and informative as we progressed through this first visit. He confirmed my insurance would cover labs before ordering them. Left feeling i made the right decision to include him with caring for me going forward
A medical practice or ANY professional practice is only as good as its support staff--that includes the people who answer the phone, deliver messages, schedule or confirm appointments and deal with any non-clinical aspect of patient services. My experience with Memorial Health physicians' practices, including this practice, has been consistently bad because of the incompetence of their support staff. No patient should have to spend weeks to get an answer to a question or get a problem resolved. Scenario: After 10 + phone calls with specific messages over two weeks, finally got a call from someone who said I could pick up an order for a routine lab test that I had requested two weeks prior, went to doctor's office to get the order only to receive a voice mail from the practice after I had left that the order wasn't signed and that I would need to go back and pick up a new order.
I have been seeing Dr. Christian since 2006 and I could not be happier. He has on several identified some severe issues and his diagnosis is always spot-on. He takes time, asks questions, and listens! Have recommended his practice to many.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
