List of Low Country Cancer Care - Savannah's Reviews
The office staff here is the worst I have ever experienced. There is no organization whatsoever. It takes them over a week sometimes to return your call. I just feel like there needs to be a certain level of care and some type of sense of urgency when you’re dealing with cancer patients. You don’t get that here. The chemo nurses are what made me give this place 2 stars. They are amazing. Dwight Melissa made it bearable. The PAs and nurses that I see are more hands on and they actually try to help you. Since I’m done with chemo Dr. Negrea barely sees me. The last time I saw him he was dismissive of an issue I was having. No one wants to feel that way. Patients want to be heard. I haven’t even mentioned the wait time. You have to clear your schedule when you have an appointment. They have no concern for your time. I just recently changed my care to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. My first appointment went great.
No matter what your appointment is for or what time it is plan to be here all day. They pack them in with no regard to time because they know you have no choice but to sit here and wait.
After recently moving to the Savannah area I chose Low Country Cancer Care as my oncology provider. I am currently in remission from Lymphoma and made an appointment for labs and a PET scan. My new patient appointment with Dr Yannucci several weeks ago went well aside from waiting over an hour past my appointment time. Today I had my 2nd appointment with her. My appointment was for 115. I arrived well in advance and the waiting room was packed. There was not nearly enough seating to be able to maintain social distancing which is a big deal since ALL of the people there have compromised immune systems. In talking to others in the waiting room I heard that some were over 2 hours past their appointment time and still in the waiting room. I waited until an hour past my appointment time and then rescheduled as I had another appointment later in the afternoon that I needed to get to. It is ridiculous that a professional group cannot schedule appointments accurately. I only can hope their medical care is better than their front office operations.
Well first I want to say to anyone who goes in for a visit that you need to be patient and wait. There is almost a wait time which tells me this is a great doctors office. They are very busy and you just need to deal with the wait I will wait as long as it takes to be seen by them. Now on to the staff From the front desk to the back office the lab techs the nurses PAs the chemo techs and the doctors there is no better group I see Dr. Yannucci and she is absolutely fabulous along with the entire office. I cant say enough about this place. When I was first diagnosed in January 2920 it was on. Port placement and 3 days later was in the hospital with my first treatment. It has been an intense and interesting journey. But happy to announce that I have completed my treatment and am in remission. I was in treatments from February 10 2020 to June 5 2020 and had a very pleasant experience from day until nowJust remember to be kind patient and understanding while sitting in the waiting room. Remember you are not the only sick or hurting patient there
My negative rating isn’t about the doctors or nurses. They are all extremely amazing. Truly 5 Stars However my negative rating is about the Office Manager Tia. I came in today for an appointment and the waiting room was extremely packed. I checked in and waited. Twenty minutes later I got a message that I needed to jump into a quick phone meeting workrelated and I went up to Tia to ask if I had time to make the call before she called me up to make the copay or if she would prefer I wait in the waiting room. The office was packed so it wasn’t to rush her just to see if me stepping out would inconvenience the workflow for the staff. She rolled her eyes while looking at the computer and then looked up at me with a very “nicenasty” smile and said “Do what you want”. I was completely caught off guard. I told her her attitude was uncalled for and she just rolled her eyes and smirked as if it meant nothing. Right before I had walked up to the counter I witnessed her be extremely rude to a man picking up his wife from her chemo treatment. He wanted to go in the back and stated to her “How can you not remember me? We see you all the time when we come for appointments.” Tia responded “Why am I supposed to remember you?”. So unnecessary and extremely rude. When I got in the back I spoke with some of the other patients about her and they stated she had been nasty and rude to them also on many occasions while still keeping a very “nicenasty” demeanor. That is ridiculous. No matter how amazing the doctors and nurses are the fact that they allow someone so nasty to manage their practices is alarming and disheartening. She doesn’t deserve her position especially if she is willing to treat patients in a negative way. Note to the owners and providers choose better front office staffmanagers. They are the face of your company they affect patient volume and satisfaction.
Great Doctor and medical staff
Great staff and caring Doctors.
Dr. Negrea was a phenomenal doctor when treating my dad for stage 4 Burkitts Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Dr. Negrea has a vast knowledge in treating it aggressively. He also has good bedside manners. The staff here at the facility are very attentive to the patients and are knowledgeable in what they are doing.
Stay away from this place. Update. Dr. Negrea is a quack. Stay away from him if you want quality care. He allowed my wife’s cancer to enlarge on her liver and spread to her lymph nodes and kidney. After telling him something was wrong for 4 months. Also during this time she developed a lump on her head. Him and his PA kept saying don’t worry about it. Just take your pain meds. After an MRI by the emergency department found out cancer has spread to her brain. In my opinion Dr. Negrea should have his license pulled and his PA. He’s not qualified to practice medicine. He’s not qualified to treat a dog let alone people.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
