Luiza Johnson's Online Review Report Card

I must say how very happy I’ve been with the service of Dr. Johnson and her staff. It’s been nearly a year since I moved to the area, and during that time, Dr. Johnson has been attentive to my medical needs. Even if I can’t get in for an appointment, she makes time for a video conference to discuss the matter. I have been through a couple of doctors around this country and her attention to detail and her bedside manner makes all the difference in the world.

I have had the pleasure to work with and also have Dr. Johnson as a PCP, she is a caring and compassionate provider.

My mother recently moved to Pooler; she attempted to call the office to set up an appt and transfer her care to Dr. Johnson. They took her name and number and proceeded to tell her they’d call her back. After 2 days of not hearing from anyone, she called them back, only to be met with someone from her office telling her “Dr. Johnson will take you on as a patient but she will NOT be writing you a prescription for ANY controlled substance!!” My mother takes .25mg of Xanax approximately 5-6 times per YEAR when she flies on an airplane for a specific phobia, which as a practicing Clinical Psychologist myself, I can tell you is completely medically indicated. She does not take it daily and she does not take it for generalized anxiety. Her current general practitioner writes her a 30 day supply that lasts her an ENTIRE year. To lead a phone call with telling my mother that you cannot or will not do something that has been a part of her clinical/medical care is completely unprofessional and shows a complete lack of training in or understanding of mental health conditions. Even if Dr. Johnson does not have prescription privileges for controlled substances (which I highly doubt as a practicing MD), a conversation re: alternatives to benzos would have been ethical practice and honestly, just good patient care. I myself work in a primary care clinic as a psychologist as a part of an integrated care team; if one of our docs made assumptions about a patient (I.e., that she is abusing benzos) the way in which this care team did about my mother, there would be serious consequences. You have listed on your website that you treat “anxiety;” I would suggest that you remove that, as it is clearly above your scope of practice, as I imagine are most mental health conditions.

Wonderful doctor and office staff, especially the ladies in the back. All are friendly and helpful and make you feel important. Dr. Johnson listens carefully and addresses each of your concerns. I left feeling validated and well cared for. Thank you!!!

Loved coming here because of the Dr Kurt Kang . I called this morning to schedule a well care visit and was told he is no longer there . I’m sad to hear of his leaving

I never do reviews but I went here a few weeks ago and even got to my appointment 30 minutes early. Sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half until someone came and got me. Even then, the nurse left me in the room she put me in for 30 more minutes and finally my doctor showed up saying she was late from traffic. After leaving the hospital she told me that I should receive a call so that I could confirm a prescription that I needed. Never received it or a call and was sent a bill in the mail for literally peeing in a cup that they made me do.

Dr Johnson, cannot say enough good things about her! Thorough, friendly, patient, everything a doctor should be! Needed a pcp after being discharged from hospital. I didn’t have to wait a year to get in, she was able to see me in a week. Love her! So thankful to have found her!

Doctor Bostwick and staff are wonderful. From the check in process (thank you Jenn Jones) through procedures they are professional, attentive and thorough. Dr. Bostwick listens and is compassionate during exams and diagnosis. I am happy to have found her and the practice.
