List of MIchael J Cox Md's Reviews
Cox told me Dr. Michigan, in the same office, had "botched" a procedure and drew a diagram of the injury caused by Michigan. Although Cox knew, or should have known, the severity of the injury he said "no follow-up care was necessary"! When I asked for a copy of my medical records so I could get a second opinion, Cox sent me a letter stating that he, and all the other doctors, would not see me again. Urology Associates of Savannah is a monopoly, and every urologist for adult patients in Savannah works there. To correct things, I've had multiple procedures performed by doctors in Jacksonville. Three procedures down and two to go.
The Doctor himself was great, but the staff is another issue! I have called and left over 10 vms no return call at all! Very disheartening!
If it wasn’t for the referrals of my doctors to see this practice I would have given up on them. 3 months out wait to see for new patient, and 6 months total waiting so far to get a call 30 minutes before my appointment so they can cancel and reschedule it for yet another month later. Again, I’d tell this place what they can do with themselves if it wasn’t for the high recommendations from my current doctors. After finally seeing the doctor, he's great .. the support staff review is still the same
He is such a great dr. He listens to his patients. I love Julie, to she is one of the great Catheter Nurses, she met only know eww s ger job, but she talks to you, makes you at ease.. We love her.. She is vital to her field...
The doctor is knowledgeable and friendly but the office staff is inefficient. So what is the point in going to a good doctor that has a non communicative office. We have called three weeks trying to get information on sample drugs that were given by doctor and no one has returned a single call yet. My concern is when it is a situation of extreme urgency what are you to do? Extreme urgency does not mean emergency room visit. They simply do not follow through with patients. Now we have to put the burden on our primary care doctor to get refills and authorizations. Not satisfied at all.
Thank you for all that you do for my uncle
Horrible experience with lazy inept followup. Not a good thing about them.
During the past 18 months, I have never waited less than one hour in his waiting room, and another hour in his exam room. The office music is always turned up so loud that I can't hear myself think. Thank goodness I figured out how to turn it off in his exam room. Today, I waited 50 minutes, then went up to the desk and cancelled. The kind staff member jumped up and offered to go check on my turn, but I waved her off and rescheduled. I am now searching for a new doc.
I’m so confused by the positive reviews. I can only imagine it’s because they don’t know any better. I was new to the area and became pregnant. So I did my research. Dr. Jackson had amazing reviews and awards. So I chose him immediately. I am from a huge metropolitan area where the medical system is very good. I knew I wouldn’t get the same as I would back home. But I had no idea I would run into these issues. So to start with the basic, smallest complaints, the wait time is FOREVER at this office. I was ok with that because I took it as meaning he’s very popular because he’s very good. Once I would finally get back to see him, he was always coming in sweating, out of breath because he had just ran from the hospital delivering a baby. I didn’t mind that much but I didn’t even think about how this would affect me later. During appointments, he wasn’t rude, but wasn’t overly friendly and offering advice left and right. I’m a first time mom, I don’t always know the right questions to ask
Dr. Jackson has been my physician for thirteen years. He always takes the time to explain things and was beyond helpful during my infertility issues. I have since moved out close to Effingham but refuse to change doctors because he is worth the drive. As far as wait times, I am pleased that he puts patients givig birth or emergency at Candler first. It can be frustrating if on a time crunch which is why I always set out more than enough time for my visit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
