Every visit they want a urine test but nurse wont tell you why even if you ask. I found out from labcorp that it was for illegal drugs. They had no reason for that and got mad when I refused. They are rude and only care about money and not the patient.

the staff here is rude and there is no follow up they send you for a test, no call back, then when you have to call and question the results then you deal with nasty staff then you are told the doctor has 710 days to respond. if its important enough to have the test then there should be urgency to give you the results

Very impatient doctor, walked out on me while I was still talking to him. I said “I guess I’m supposed to follow you since you walked out on me?!” Impatiently answered my questions. Not going back.

Excellent doctor but staff is horrible. Never referred me to physical therapy as promised; luckily the pain went away. It was a definite sign...I did a Colon Guard at their request; 10 days later his office informed me that the test result was positive and referred me to a gastro doctor for a colonoscopy. I asked if I could see the report on my patient portal but was told that due to the confidential nature of the test, it would not be available on my portal. Then, several days later the Colon Guard report appeared on my portalNEGATIVE!!! I contacted his office immediately and was told that they had no idea who had called me with the incorrect information. I informed the office manager that the gastro doctor had called me to schedule an appointment because someone in their office had referred me to him...No response. Never mind my state of mind after I was told that the Colon Guard result was positive; but what would have happened if the result was Positive and they said that it was negative. Thank God that my wife is always on top of my medical portal!!! Needless to say, I have changed my Primary Doctor and my insurance company as well as Dr. Hightower have been informed of what transpired RUN AWAY!!!!

Bad experience...staff did not refer me to physical therapy as promised. Colon test results were misread; informed me that it was positive when in fact it was negative. When confronted with the situation, no one took responsibility. Dr. Hightower & insurance company were informed. RUN!!!! M. Salomon (Pooler, GA)

Be sure to have any questions ready. Visits, especially follow up visits, are very rushed and superficial. Otherwise seems very competent when he takes the time. The online web page (personal health page) is mediocre (inaccuracies, incomplete, etc.)

Couldnt be more pleased with the care I receive and the nurses are always wonderful. There are times I need him at the last minute and he or they always get me in. He cares about his patients.

Dr. Hightower has been mine and my husbands doctor for about 15 maybe 20 years. He’s a wonderful guy. Personable and friendly. And most every time his diagnoses is correct. I also love his front office and his nurse is awesome!
