List of Southcoast Health's Reviews
Every one at South Coast Health is very helpful and respectful. They are very nice.
Dr. Knight is absolutely amazing. He's extremely knowledgeable and personable which sometimes hard to find. He addresses your concerns and he actually listens to his patients. If I could I would rate him a 10.
Comfortable seating, nice staff
Nurse Practitioner, Caitlin "Catie" Thomson is a great asset to your firm. She is very interested in my health (HF Clinic). Catie takes her time with me and listens to my concerns. I would recommend her highly to prospective clients.
I've had nothing but problems with this facility. If it wasn't the only doctor locally that took my insurance I would go literally anywhere else. I moved out of Savannah over a year ago, have signed SEVERAL medical realeses and even spent several hundred on a round trip ticket just to go down there and personally sign another release form and still cant make appointments in my new state because south coast doesn't file things correctly. I was also repeatedly called a different name by my doctor, and spent far too many hours in that waiting room for the 6 or 7 visits I made overtime. The only thing about this place that's nice is a lab and pharmacy on site. You pay for convenience.
Treated by Susan Brown NP on Jan 4 for cough that was driving my wife nuts. No other complaints, but Susan suspected more based upon examination and ordered Flu test which was positive for Flu despite vaccine last November. Consequently, she ordered appropriate meds for Flu and they have collectively done the job. I have nearly recovered thanks to her professional, personal, and thorough diagnostic skill. I did not have an appointment at the Clinic but was seen quickly, and I will continue to use the SouthCoast Clinic for routine medical issues. I could not have had a better outcome. Thank you for the attention and expertise.
Thank God for your walk-in clinic! My wait was pretty long , but nothing like ER during flu season. Dr. Reed had me on my way in no time, with meds, when she got my diagnosis.
Predatory BillingI was scheduled to have a Bone Scan on Mid May shortly after I received a letter that Southcoast was changing their Name. I specifically contacted Southcoast Imaging Dept. to ensure my Blue Cross was still in Network and that i would be covered for this. I was assured by Imaging that my Policy was covered for the scan so I went ahead and kept my appointment. After the scan I was billed $1,660 . I contacted Southcoast and was told by Brittany that this was a transitional issue and she would re-bill Blue Cross in the usual format to make sure it was paid. It has been two months and I keep contacting Privia and have gotten nowhere. This is devastating financially and is not my fault - This is a Predatory Business Practice and not what I have ever expected from Southcoast who I have visited for 20 years. UPDATE to this review is that I received a response as listed however no person from the A/R team has called me. This claim needs to be rebilled to my insurance as Southcoast has promised in their notes. No one has contacted me and the Claim has not been re-billed as promised. This bill for $1,660 remains my responsibiliy in spite of the Fact that I Contacted Southcoast Imaging two weeks Prior to the Scans to ensure they were covered. I have been seeing my doctor for over 20 years, this is a terrible way to run business.
Shoddy customer support. They mark the codes in insurance wrong and I am stuck with a $300 bill for a routine annual checkup. Insurance says it is the hospital's fault. Hospital's billing never picks up the phone and their voicemail is full. This is unacceptable and I am not coming back. If they want their measly co-pay, they will have to come and earn it.
Staff and Doctor are wonderful!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
