List of St. Josephs Candler's Reviews
Dr Bozik is thorough and easy to talk to and the practice seems very organized starting from the front desk. Follow through on future test appointments done within a couple days. As a new patient I couldn’t be more pleased.
The check-in was a nonevent with a very short wait. Doctor McNeely's nurse was seasoned and experienced who took all of my vitals for the Dr.Dr. McNeely was very detailed in his review of my vitals and health history. He made several recommendation for improved health outcomes. I was very pleased with the attention to detail of everyone and look forward to a lasting health care relationship.
Prompt, professional, kind and through
Love this office and all the staff.
I've always been treated very well by Dr. Barrett and his staff. On this visit, they were able to get me into see Dr. Barrett with only a few hours notice. As always, Dr. Barrett was very personable, competent and professional and he explained everything thoroughly after listening carefully to my concerns and why I needed to see him.
quick friendly service with a professional attitude
New patient procedures confusing and unfriendly. Staff extremely unhelpful. Felt like DR and team were actively putting up barriers to care.
During Covid danger, Doctor required 2nd visit to read me the results of tests which I had received online. Unneeded danger!!!!Gave the wrong prescription.Required appointment every three months for routine drugs I had renewed annually for 20 years at other doctors.Generally didn't seem like he knew what he was doing
I highly suggest if you don't want to be harassed by the billing dept, you find yourself a different doctor. I was a paying in good standing customer with no issues - however, when you had any balance due, before 30 days you will be harassed by billing leaving you Robo calls telling you that you must call a 1800 number immediately, with no other info. You call, they tell you your bill isn't paid when a) again, its been less than 30 days since the statement date and b) you've already paid the bill online and they tell you they have no record. I wish I could say this was the first time this happened, but it wasn't. And don't bother calling the office manager at Islands, she's useless - she did nothing except keep passing the buck to others and refusing to deal with me except for email. To end the harassment, I just overpaid them because they would not leave me alone with the caveat I'd be finding a new doctor. The other person on the other end of the phone line didn't give a crap - they just wanted money I didn't owe them.Funny enough today - I get a call from St. Joseph Candler telling me they are trying to send me a refund check. It has been two months since the debacle where I paid them money I didn't owe them. I told them they could keep the $20 as obviously the organization is so poorly run, they'll need it to stay in business. Was my doctor there good? Yes, but the price was just too high for staying.
I called to setup an appointment and was first answered by the typical machine hotline. I hit the number 1 since it was the only option and was deferred to a receptionist. I told her that I wanted to schedule an appointment, which she then tells me that appointments can't be made over the phone and suggests that I leave a message for my physician and then they'd get back to me. It's been about 5 days and I haven't heard back. This isn't the first time I've had an issue.I called last year about a vaccination that was prescribed for me but wasn't sure why and if I even need it. The receptionist then told me that anyone that could answer my question was busy and that I could leave a message and they'd call back. Never heard from them.My final issue was when I scheduled an appointment for an annual check up. Found out that the doctor I'd been seeing was actually no longer there. Never received any form of notification.Currently looking for a new PCP...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
