dr. horn closed up a c section wound i was dealing with for 8 months. i was healed in less than a week and a half after my surgery & back to doing normal things! BEST surgeon out there, very sweet nurses & actually explain and are very real with you.

I saw Dr Horn for the removal of a non-malignant basal skin carcinoma on my back. He closed the skin back up with steri-strips, not typical sutures. A week later they popped out. He couldn't see me again for 48 hours and didn't pass me on to a colleague who might have been available. I don't know if the incision got infected before or immediately after he sewed it back up, but when I called his assistant the next day, she pooh-poohed my concerns. After the weekend I demanded to go back in, and yes she agreed it was seriously infected, and was able to get me some antibiotics. Dr. Horn hadn't properly bandaged the incision nor said anything to me about regularly changing the bandage. It took about a week for the infection to calm down and longer for the incision to stop leaking. It continued to hurt for months. Dr Horn was a pleasant conversationalist during the surgeries. But I would have preferred competence to conversation.

Dr. Horn is currently my plastic surgeon. I had a partial mastectomy due to triple negative breast cancer on May 5. After my general surgeon did a phenomenal job, Dr. Horn stepped in. He placed my expander in. I have had setbacks and had to go back to the hospital for a few days. I still have a long way to go with expansion of the expander and exchange surgery for implants on both sides. I’ve been in a lot of pain and he has kept me comfortable. When I was upset and in excruciating pain he held my hand. He has called to check on me. Hands down he is one incredible human being who loves and cares for his patients. I will always remain his patient. I’ve been so scared through all of this and I know that this type of cancer I have is the fastest growing, most aggressive and hardest to treat so if it returns and I require more plastic surgery, he is the only one I will ever trust. He’s taken such good care of me that I trust him with my life.

I have seen numerous Drs. for my condition and had seen Dr. Horn once before and he wouldn’t help me but a Dr. I saw 6-8 months later referred me back to Horn even after I said that I already had been there and didn’t get help. The Dr. assured me that I would be helped because she set it up with him. I had already spent over $1000 for testing, MRI (3), CT, XRays, etc. so, on my visit Dr. Horn eluded ...

I first went to see Dr. Horn for reconstruction surgery after mastectomy. He and his staff explained everything and took time to answer my questions. He did a fantastic job with the reconstruction surgery. Takes time from his busy schedule to call you himself with your test results.

This doctor & his staff are amazing. Extremely fine work by Dr Horn & his nurse assistant is always available for help or questions. Most excellent!

Thank you ladies - you are outstanding! My 84 year old father had a head wound caused by radiation treatment and has a skin graft operation done at MUSC 4 years ago which never healed. Intermittent infections where causing fevers. Dad was referred to Dr. Horn and initially he wasn't sure he could help. He consulted with colleagues in the field and he decided he could help. The result was uncertain and I thought we may be making it worse. It is healed and we cab not thank Dr. Horn and his staff enough - he may not be working miracles - but you could fool me. Thank You
