Oops..the best bone Dr. In the metro Atlanta area..I gave 1 star before..my bad...Dr.Mines and Lyle are ment for each other..lol..kinda like Gumby and Pokey...thanx again..jan✌ 🔪🤙 well, well, those 3 years have passed..I have had dr mines put me back together several times. .I do not understand that people can bad mouth this physician. .I've trusted him with my life and being able to function like a heart beating robot..many thanks Dr. Mines. And the staff marvelous..peace,jan..✌
Did not really feel cared for. My appointment lasted like barely 10 minutes. He told me about my injury but gave me NO advice and when I asked questions he made me feel dumb. Also gave me pills where I was told to dose for a week straight?? And the paper he gave me was different medication from which he mentioned.
I am sitting in the waiting room at the surgery center waiting on my daughter to get out of her THIRD ACL reconstruction surgery. She is 20 yro. She first tore her ACL as a junior in high school playing basketball. I'm sure Dr. Mines is a great guy, who does a good job on other procedures, but he sure missed it with our daughter. He used an outdated allograph method for young athletes that didn't even last 5 months. My daughter's knee was extremely bloody after surgery and she was in a lot of pain post surgery for over a week. Being our first time, we had no idea if that was normal. She did all her PT, followed protocol and the allograph just shredded within just a few weeks of returning to play. Our experience was rough with the office staff organization, communication and post surgery follow up was extremely poor. We didn't really realize it at the time, but we now know how much we missed and how poorly our experience had been when our 2nd daughter also tore her ACL. Her experience was night and day different. Her knee was barely bloody, pain much less. She received thorough physical exams pre and post surgery and had to complete a full return to play athletic assessment testing. Visits were not long waits, office staff were super sharp and organized, etc. Dr. Mines maybe completely capable for other procedures, but we do NOT recommend his services for young athlete ACL reconstruction surgeries!! We are doing this for the third time as a result of his first procedure.
More interested in Ohio’s college football team than his patients. His crew work with each other to cover errors. I would love for Mr mines to explain the mistakes in my surgery ion a conversation with Dr Maurice Jove’ the X-rays show the proof.
My pain was worse after my knee replacement. I was told by the Dr’s PA that it took 7 weeks to create my knee and to take up to 20 650 Mg Tylenol extra strength for pain until surgery. My foot pointed out on an angle and I couldn’t feel my foot. When I found a new Dr. that realized immediately that my knee was placed approximately 13 degrees off. After my new knee was placed Which was an off the shelf I could feel my foot again. I was also provided with range of motion equipment at my home to get started on physical therapy. Less than 2 months after surgery I was up and completely returned to a normal life. I wish I could have the time back. My new doctor had a personality that I felt comfortable asking questions. I felt that Mr Mines had a horrible bed side manner didn’t provide any recuperation directions to top it off the wait times passed appointment time waiting for the dr another hour questioned that only to be told you wait like that at a restaurant. I did just what I would if I was at that restaurant have I limped out. Mr I mines said in front of other patients we don’t see eye to eye go go yourself another doctor which I did. Thanks to mr mines the new doctor was known by every other person I met. His name is Dr Maurice Jove. Dr Jove has gone above and beyond not just for me but for every patient that asked for it for some reason every time I post Dr Jove’s number on this review it disappears.
Real nice doctor. Make you feel like family
Checkout representative is rude and does not care about helping pt out. Called office to get assistance for my Mom to have an open MRI faster if possible and was really rude about it. She was supposed to get with the provider about it and that we would receive a call and nothing happen. She said that the providers were too busy and they didn't have anymore appts. Also said that the provider didn't have time to do order an expedited MRI. She didn't show any interest in helping us in any way.
The staff is horrible. Not sure if Dr. Mines is aware. They don't call you back, etc .
Excellent orthopedic doctor who brilliantly explained the best treatment for my ailment, He spends time with his patients and is very personable. I am so glad my friend Leisa advised me to see him.
Dr. Mines is quite simply the best there is. He replaced my R hip followed a year later by my L knee. The care I received was excellent. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. He will listen to you & make sure you have everything you need. He and his staff treat you like family. Professional, extremely competent & caring. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
