Jessica J. Mercer's Online Review Report Card

Dr mercer is a delusional psychopathic, with schizophrenia. she sent me a letter that was unprofessional, disgusting, filled with lies and fraudulent comments stating that I called her. I had to google her name because I never ever heard of her. I have been seeing my same dermatologist who is a white male for over 5yrs now. this Dr has unethical behaviors and her license need to be taken away. I would never reach out to this lady even if it was to wash my dog's ass. she has mental issues. I got this letter with her name on it, and I never spoke with this lady a day in my life. she's probably sending fraudulent insurance claims to people's insurance companies trying to get paid. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR WITH YOUR LIFE SHE'S A MENTAL CASE.

Diagnosed with cancer and Dr Jessica Mercer never called to check on me as a black woman and a new patient, I was extremely disappointed. After, my first consult Dr Mercer requested I see a partner for a second opinion and from there I never heard from her again. The partner scheduled my two surgeries and checked on me a few times. He was the one informed me of cancer NOT Dr Mercer.

Dr. Mercer and her staff are lovely. She is always patient with me and even took care of a problem I had that wasn't on my scheduled visit. She was fast, but effective. Very caring with a lovely bedside manner. I have a recurring sensitive dermatological issue and wouldn't trust it to anyone else.

I took my teenage daughter in to see Dr. Jessica Mercer as a new patient. She suffers from acne. Dr. Jessica Mercer prescribed my daughter medication that caused burning, irritation and caused peeling to her face. When I called to inform Dr. Jessica Mercer, she and her staff were unresponsive at times, and seemingly did not care. I would not recommend her.

I've had a number of troubling skin problems over the years and have been treated by a fine dermatologist for about 20 of those years but his office has always been difficult for me to access so I decided to try Dr Mercer who supposedly treats patients near my home, among other satellite medical offices. I did not realize until after my "appointment" that Dr Mercer is a dermapathologist which probably is a specialty far beyond my needs. She must be one busy woman pathologizing for I had to wait a month for my appointment. When I arrived on time at her shimmeringly lovely office, I was brought to an exam room. While I was being questioned by a staffer, Dr Mercer popped in. We shook hands but as quickly as she appeared, she disappeared. The staffer abruptly ceased talking with me and didn't appear interested in the reasons for my visit. I had several. Instead, she asked me to undress, don paper PJs, and have a seat but the staffer split before adjusting the seat to fit me properly. I spent quite some time in that chilly breezy room on a November morning, getting increasingly more uncomfortable in that idiotic chair. Exasperated and barefoot, I hobbled to the door and peeked out. Some staffers gathered, alarmed, asking what was wrong - when I explained I was assured "she'd be right with me." Like a fool, I believed them but after another long chilly, uncomfortable wait, when The Doc failed to materialize, I got redressed and left the building. While I was sitting in the parking lot contemplating the rest of my to-do list, Dr Mercer phoned to explain that after she and I met so very briefly, she had been asked to attend to someone else's (??) bleeding?? patient (???) but if I returned, she and her assistant would be there for me so I agreed. As soon as I got off the elevator and opened the main entry door, a staffer I hadn't seen before called out my name, led me into an exam room and said (with a straight face) that "Dr Mercer will be right with me." Again I waited and waited and waited. And again I walked out, never having been examined by the mysterious vanishing dermapathologist.

I highly recommend Dr. Mercer! I saw her at the Brookhaven location and was impressed with her office, staff and bedside manner.

I do not recommend going to Dr. Mercer. Just another example of a doctor just after you for your money. I went to see Dr. Mercer in January because one of my toe nails was growing thicker than the rest. When she looked at it she mentioned it looked like trauma from me hitting it on something and that it should go back to normal. She said she would take a sample and see if it had an fungal infection just in case and it would be covered under my insurance. I had also shown her some small spots on my skin and she informed me those were normal and if I wanted them removed those would not be covered under my insurance. So I thought I would just stick to the toe sample. She couldn't even clip my toe nail because her own nails were too long...she made me do it. Which I dont have an issue because she was hurting me when she tried to do it. After I got my results and there was no fungal infection as she suspected. But I got sent a bill for $262 for 2 tests run (even though she told me it would only be one test) and my insurance barely covered any of the charges leaving me to pay the $262 for literally nothing.
