I would give negative stars if I could. I had to take my 4 month old daughter to the er where he tested her for rsv and it came back positive she was also diagnosed with bronchiolitis. You could hear her wheezing from across the room .They gave her a breathing treatment and refused to do anything else after I made it a point that I know you cannot treat a virus but however you can treat her symptoms. Monday when I took her to the pediatrician she had to be put in the hospital because her breathing was so bad and I feel this could have been prevented had he given a prescription for me to do the breathing treatments at home. He did not listen to my concerns thought I didn't know what I was talking about and then made me feel as if there was absolutely nothing I could do for my child when clearly she was struggling to breathe. Next time I have to go to a hospital I will make the drive to Augusta!

Dr. Sommers is a fantastic ER physician. His admission helped to save my life. Had he not admitted me to the hospital and sent me home as many other ER physicians may have done I may not have survived the night. When I was in the ER I felt better and improved with his treatment; however, with his insight and expert medical knowledge into what had caused my initial symptoms to lead him to admit me for overnight observation. During this observation, my heart stopped two additional times which allowed the cardiologist to make the correct diagnosis and a perform a heart procedure that saved my life. Thank you, Dr. Sommers. We are very lucky to have you here at our hospital!
