Dr Goins and Spencer are amazing. He makes sure you understand what procedure is needed, you are open to ask any questions you may have. I received so much information to read before surgery I was ready and comfortable at all time. His staff gets things done right away and appreciate them so much.Dr Goins and his total staff are my medical angels ??

Dr.Goins performed back surgery on me on Dec.2004,while we both was in the US Navy at Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego,Ca. He did a magnificent job.

When imaging showed beyond a shadow of a doubt that there was a herniated disc at the L1-L2 level, Dr. Goins suggested that the problem was in thee hip and chose to pursue that rather than the spinal issue. Ended up dropping Resurgens for Polaris Spine in Atlanta. Surgery at L1-L2 resolved the issue. Dr. Goins should have paid attention to his NP who apparently knew more than he did.

i could...i will give him no stars. About 6 months ago I took my mom with him because of a recommendation from another doctor who said he was a great doctor. Well, I took her with him a couple of times and some of them..he didnt even show up and they didnt took the time to give us a call so we wouldn't drive so far. He clearly said to my mom she could have surgery in one of her appointments...but that he wanted for her to try physical therapy and more injections for pain...and he said that if that didnt help, he would start sending her for blood work and cardiologist for the surgery.My mom did everything and nothing helped...she reached the point where she could barely walk. We went to see him to plan for the surgery and he just said he couldn't do it because it was very risky because of her medical conditions ( diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension) in a very rude way...plus he never said that at the very beginning, he didnt even send her with cardiologist or for the blood work. He gave my mom hopes and nothing else. He just wanted money I guess...made us waste our time...my mom felt very disappointed and hopeless after that visit.But, guess what? My mom didnt gave up and went to Mexico with a great doctor who has cured a lot of people who have been told they have no cure or that they cant do surgery on them.My mom had surgery days ago and she came out perfect! She looks so happy and she can walk and looks much straighter. I cant thank that doctor enough. Faith was strong too...but the doctor you choose is very important. Keep your self from going with Goins. And no matter what you have to pay, you health is more important than anything...so search well to find your Angel.

Where do I start. He has done multiple back surgeries on me and neck surgery. Always a well manner man. They make sure you understand and ask you if there are any questions. I wouldn't change Dr Goins ,Dr Rowland for nothing. Thanks for being there to fix what was possible .

As a chiropractor of over 30 years, I send many patients for spine surgery and I'm always looking for great surgeons. Dr Goins keeps up with the latest techniques and performs surgery only when it's in the best interest of the patient. He is tops on my list of trusted doctors

Rude, arrogant, condescending. Dr Goins did not even look at me, introduce himself, nor apologize for running late (1 hr). Abrasively asked what pain level was. Replied 2 or 3; he waved his hand dismissively, saying "well not ready for surgery", in a very irritated tone. Didn't ask if I had questions. Said come back to see him if pain got worse yet when I met w/PA 6 wks prior, was told had to get pain level down before surgery. Feel he was trying to discourage surgery bc I am Medicare patient.

Dr. Goins has done spinal surgery on me, and 3 other immediate family members. We are all so appreciative of his expertise, caring attitude, & our excellent outcomes. I cannot say enough about this excellent, compassionate, skilled surgeon!

Dr. Goins is one of the best physicians I've ever had. He performed Disc Replacement surgery, C5-6 for me. He was so patient explaining what my issues were, what the MRI showed, what his course of action would be. My wife and I were IMMEDIATELY comfortable with him after spending only 10 minutes with him. His demeanor, personality, and skill level were superb. Post -surgery, I am pain free for the first time in over 20 years!! Every thing about Dr. Goins is A+++ in my opinion.
