absolutely awful!! today my sweet neice had a seizure and split her chin wide open when she fell. it was a very scary morning and went to this hospital to sit for 10 hours and be told she was not an emergency as she bled all over her clothes. she got there at 10 am just to be told she may be seen around 2am! she left without being seen! sit there for 10 hours hungry with a head injury and needing stitches!!! what on earth is going on in this building!!??
I came to this hospital because I passed out and my pulse rate was to high turned out I had covid they told me they were going to do a cat scan when I got admitted which was at 6pm it was 11pm no one could tell me anything no wait time …I wanted to be discharged and the head nurse told me I could die if I went home because I may have a blood clot on my lungs I still decided to leave and when the nurse came back to take out my IV she was extremely rough and caused this bruise on my arm …This is my second bad experience with this hospital.
Malcom, Romanus, Danielle and Ashley got my son together so well . I was very frustrated and they managed to ease my nerves and they gave my son stitches efficiently and quickly . I really appreciate the efficiency and proffesiobalim that they provided despite my frustration. 10/10 if possible ! I'm from Michigan and they suited me well
I had to bring my sister to the emergency room here and it was one of my worse experiences ever. I understand being short staffed but 12 hrs waiting is ridiculous especially when you see people who came hours after you get seen and go home and you are still waiting. I also witnessed blatant rudeness and disrespect from the staff towards patients. The restrooms were dirty and didn't get cleaned till 2am.The outside waiting area was also quite dirty.
I come in with severe pain and can't walk and told 8 to 10 hours. This is unacceptable. What if I lose my leg because of this.
Mother in law ended up falling and hurt her hip, she was in the waiting room for roughly 4 hours before being seen. Dr. Told her shes fine and would be sore from the fall after taking Xrays, her real doctor ended up getting the medical records and noticed that she has a broken hip she wasnt aware of amd medicine that shes not allowed to take. Piedmont also didn't see the massive cut on her foot that needs stitches. What a complete joke this hospital is.
For the past 2 and 1/2 years Piedmont Henry and I have been close friends. I have no complaints about the care I have received whether from Patient Registration to surgery to exits. It is very clean, social distancing is observed, mask wearing and there is hand sanitizer on all counters and entrances to all surgical areas and rooms. I so far have been pleased with all the doctors, nurses and anesthesiologists.
I waited in the emergency waiting room for almost 3 hours and I came in for a head injury and needed an immediate CT scan (was not seen by the way) the front desk associates were not very friendly nor displayed any traits of good customer service. No empathy. No update on times when I might be seen. I requested to speak to a nurse as I had questions about my head injury and was refused by the front desk receptionist. Her words verbatim “no one can or will help you, you have to wait”. Which is a little baffling. She actually increasingly made things more frustrating for myself as well as other patients. I also sat next to a man who arrived at 8:30 am to be seen and broke down in tears crying because he was in so much pain and it was almost 4pm. A grown man pleading for his life. I encourage you to please go elsewhere. They have no regard for your pain or life. You might not make it if you seek care here. Please save your time, money, and more importantly yourself.
THE STROKE POSTERS ARE A JOKE. (They dont use them)I went to Piedmont Henry ER on 11/7.Upon entering:-I had trouble walking - I fell into a chair in the lobby. The woman next to me jumped up and told them I needed a wheelchair.- I told them my head was throbbing.-I told the nurse the lights made my headache worse- I requested a funnel (I was vomiting)-I told them I couldn’t swallow- my breathing was off- I told the triage nurse something was wrong with my face- verbatim “the left side was tired looking and the right side seemed very awake”- I told the nurse the right side of my body was numb and couldn’t get warm like the left side of my bodyShe wrote down I had an “acute inconclusive headache”-migraine and chest pain.I had a cerebellar stroke. I’m not even 35 yet.Though I did receive an EKG and Head CT that night after waiting hours.... A simple stroke test (the posters are everywhere) would have helped. Correctly triaging me would have been effective. How do I know I had a stroke? I went back on 11/7/21- (all the same symptoms except no vomiting) my aunt had to come with me and PRESS for an MRI. That’s when they found it- on 11/7- I had a cerebellar stroke. I was told it was a”tricky presentation”. I was admitted to ICUPoor communicationPoor bedside manner- the nurse SNATCHED my IV out of my numb arm and had blood all over my discharge clothing and bed sheets and didn’t apologize or change the bedding. My other arm bruised so badly from the way the nurse haphazardly kept poking me.Not a healing environment-Imagine being rolled to radiology and nurses are standing around talking about another nurse’s hair.-The father of the patient (teen) next to me had to get security called down because he cursed out the entire staffI’m thankful for the individuals who showed compassion and respect towards me: (Claire, Stefawn, Shannan Lee,and Neil especially)But for real- find the next closest hospital. Don’t pay to be treated this way or worse- die.
Omg, the wait is terrible, someone will have to die before you receive care. People are sick every where and they don't have staff nor bed/room to accommodate you, it's awful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
