Atlanta Vein Specialists's Online Review Report Card

I would not recommend this practice based on my experience with Dr. Chalam Mahadevan. During my ultrasound appointment, I brought a book by Pearl Cleage. Dr. Mahadevan commented on the author's last name and made what I understood to be a joke comparing it to the word "cleavage." He said, "if you add a letter it turns to something else, hehe." I told him I didn't understand what he meant, and the exam continued. Afterward, while discussing my care, he rubbed my knees repeatedly in a way that made me uncomfortable. He then returned to the same joke, and I responded that the word he seemed to be referring to was spelled differently. Throughout the interaction, I felt uncomfortable and found the comments unprofessional and unrelated to my medical care. The experience left me with concerns about professional boundaries, and I have since filed a complaint with the Georgia Composite Medical Board

I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. M and his staff. I live in Canton, Ga, and I’m choosing to drive an hour both ways to see them for my treatment and surgeries. They have made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout the process. The day after my surgery, Dr. M called me at home to ask how I was feeling/healing, and reminded me of the post-op steps I needed to be taking. This is a doctor who really cares and does an A+ job healing you and getting you back to where you want to be.

It is with great pleasure to recommend the services of Doctor Mahadevan, Atlanta Vein Specialists. I suffered with severe leg pain for over a year to the point I had trouble walking and sleeping. I went to many doctors, physical therapy, chiropractor, acupuncture and no relief. I went to GP to get pain meds so I could sleep. A new attending doctor thought that I should see a vein specialist and recommended Doctor Mahadevan. Arriving for my consultation, the staff was so warm, genuinely caring and made me feel at ease. Then I met Doctor Mahadevan who was so understanding of my pain and after ultrasound, explained to me the issue in my leg and was so positive it could be corrected. I scheduled procedure as I felt comfortable with the diagnosis from Doctor Mahadevan and his innate ability to help me. The morning after procedure, I was totally pain free of the agonizing pain and pressure in my leg. I could shout to the heavens for this feeling. After procedure, Doctor M called the following day to check up on me - this was so touching to me. And backing up the Doctor is an amazing staff that he has - always open to calls and/or questions and always made me feel special. I would refer anyone to Doctor Mahaevan with Atlanta Vein Specialist. The entire team goes above and beyond and are top-notch in my book.

Dr. Mahadevan has a terrific bedside manner, always listening patiently to his patients, reviewing in detail what he finds during his examinations, and offering excellent answers to their questions. He is a very talented Doctor as is his team as they make any procedure as less of a stressful event as they can, with very good outcomes. I highly recommend the Atlanta Vein Specialists to anyone suffering varicose veins and related conditions.

When I met Dr. M I was walking with a cane. His procedure restored blood flow in my legs and I am no longer walking with a cane , and increased blood flow has improved my overall health and well being ,giving me the ability to once again enjoy my hobbies.

Dr. M is fantastic! He was thorough, informative and energetic. The entire process is ran so smooth. All of the nurses and employees are kind & patient. I’ve done 1 of my 3 total treatments and can’t wait to show my before and after of my varicose vein removal.

I visited for my varicose vein problem. They examined me in December 2024 and asked me to schedule an appointment after the first week of January 2025. However, they did not mention any deadline or a specific date by which I needed to schedule my surgery appointment. When I called in March 2025, they told me I would need to be re-examined because it had been more than three months. This will incur an additional charge. They should have informed me earlier that I needed to schedule the appointment within three months of the examination. I am completely unhappy about this.

Dr. M is the best!! He is confident and very thorough! I have had surgery as well as sclerotherapy. I would not go anywhere else!
