Friendly staff and no long wait time

After waiting an hour to be seen by Dr. Murphy, the office manager came into the exam room and asked me to leave, stating that I wasn't being compliant because I wanted to know the cost of x-rays before they were performed, as I had not yet met my $2,000 deductible and wanted to be sure I could afford the visit before incurring the costs. The officer manager told me that I had set their entire day behind because of my non-compliance and refusal to let them perform x-rays. I informed her that all I wanted to know was the cost of the services to be sure I could afford them and I let her know that it is, in no way, my fault that her staff took 20 minutes to bring this to her attention. She had no response. I was escorted from the exam room by the office manager and a staff member. I asked that my copay be refunded, and it was, then I left. I have NEVER in my life been treated so poorly in a medical setting. I will be filing a complaint with the medical board. A patient is lawfully entitled to know the cost of services prior to receiving them.

Love the care and compassion of all the staff here. Have sent many friends and family to this office and they are able to call and get right in to see nurse practitioner who is very kind and has tons of experience. Good place to go to get the very best medical care.

My experience with Dr . Howard was TERRIBLE , he is the RUDEST dr I have ever been to ! He talked to me like I was a dog , unbuttoned my shirt b4 telling me what he was doing & mashed my shoulder until I cried!

The staff at this office are the most unprofessional, unorganized, and ill mannered group of adults I have ever encountered in what is suppose to be a "medical professional" office. They blatantly lie about their work, or lack thereof, and try to blame insurance as their excuse. They work as they wish, how they wish, often times not available and never able to get anyone on the phone other than someone who can only book appointments, do not return calls. (And by this I mean you can, and probably will wait over a week for a return call if your appointments require anything more than a routine cast) They have zero concern for their patients, and will "forget" you without hesitation. They will give you the run around and pass the blame to someone else, all while the patient suffers. This included scheduling SURGERY appointments, showing up, only to be told "sorry no one called you and told you we re-scheduled it." REPEATEDLY. Imagine scheduling your life, kids, cancelling other appointments that take 6+ months to get back into, only to be told you did it all for nothing becauuse THIS office staff is incompetent!

Dr. Walters replaced both hips in July. Best decision and excellent care. Dr. Walters has an honest and enthusiastic approach to medicine. He loves giving a full life back to his patients. Thank you again!

Do not...I repeat Do NOT do this to yourself! Hancock did a minor shoulder surgery on me in February and I should be back to normal by now. My shoulder/entire arm are worse now than before and I’m told it’s my fault because I’m diabetic. I missed the 2 month follow up by accident and when I called to reschedule I was told that if I don’t care to keep my appointments, they aren’t concerned about the healing process. This place should not be open!!

My experience with this doctors office is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had anywhere in my life. When doctor came in to see me he asked did I bring MRI disk with me like front desk told me to when we scheduled appt, told him no one ever told me to bring it with me. Had my primary doctor fax over MRI results and they could not find them and doctor stated "oh they probably got put in someone else's file" like that was just a normal, okay thing to happen. Appt was overall an ok experience but I waited a week to get an epidural approved by insurance that was then denied and from the very mouth of the insurance lady I spoke with "well if you told the doctor everything that you have told me (which I did the day of my appt) he just did not provide enough information to us to get this approved and needs to give us a call." Then when I call the office to see if they can this matter resolved with insurance company, between my mother and I left numerous messages to which we received 1 call back and they could not answer any of my questions, basically refused to help with the situation unless I made another appt to come in and "talk with the doctor and gather more information" and then we were hung up on with no return call. Then when I called back the next day to see where we stood with getting the procedure approved the nurse calls me back and says that because my mother was "rude" to an employee the day before they were not going to be able to see me and I was more than welcome to come get my records and take them to whomever I wanted to see. To which I responded "ma'am I am the actual patient and y'all have yet to return my phone call and answer my questions and now you are refusing to see me?" **I have been down in my back for a month with days of not even being able to stand up or walk** (Which I explained to her) so at this point I was upset and crying and was trying to explain to her that it was going to be over a month before I could get in anywhere else to which she replied "I understand ma'am but you are not going to holler at me either so thank you and have a nice day" to which she then hangs up on me. When I never raised my voice. although I was upset and crying. I have also called and left a message for the office manager to give me a call to discuss my experience and get my medical records to me, to which she has never returned my call either. I would never recommend this office to anyone as the staff have just been very unprofessional and very rude through the whole process.

My experience with staff has been very satisfactory. They explained my injuries and what they would be doing. Sent me to Grady General for surgery. Hospital staff were exceedingly great! My first appointment was a work and I had to wait a long while-- the office was very busy with paients.

Have had great care by Dr. Murphy and his asst. Rodney. Had several back and neck surgeries resulting from an auto accident. They have alway been very caring and willing to help me anytime.
