Edward Hellman's Online Review Report Card

I have seen Dr. Hellman periodically for 20 years. He is patient with my many questions and lists my options for my problems. I am terrified of back or neck surgery so I appreciate him giving me other options. He also offers surgery as an option when YOU decide you can't do the pain any more! Now I am going to a pain specialist that he referred me to.

The nursing staff was great. I was checked in with no problem. I didn't wait over 25 minutes.

Exceptional knowledge, ability to explain one’s diagnosis and his treatment plan concisely and understandably. Dr. Hellman is the specialist whom I have been praying for! I was fortunate to read an article about top orthopedic surgeons in which Dr. Hellman was mentioned, and I decided to make an appointment since his practice is in my state. I appreciated that Dr. Hellman has you send all of your records to him, and he reviews them prior to making an appointment with you. If he doesn’t think he can help you, he won’t make an appointment for you, which is one of the most sensible practices I have heard of, for a specialist physician. Dr. Hellman specializes in scoliosis of the spine and spinal problems. I am so grateful that I am now his patient. He made an action plan for me, showed me my images, and explained what is wrong and how he can help me. I definitely have a long road ahead, as I need major reconstructive surgery to repair my spine. Dr. Hellman won’t do surgery unless and until your bones are strong enough to handle it. I am grateful! Finally, he promised to address my pain, post-surgery, to ensure that it’s managed well. I have seen many spine specialists, from neurologists to neurosurgeons to orthopedic surgeons, and Dr. Hellman is by far the best.

My PCP had referred me to Dr. Hellman due to my MRI showed that I had bulging discs in my neck per my PCP and the hospital report of my MRI. My visit was not what I thought it would be, I thought i was coming to him to be fixed from this pain and pressure in my neck. But I drove 1 hour and 10 minutes and waited 30 minutes in the waiting area just for this man to show me when i get to the exam room what my MRI disk showed. I was so dumb founded, disappointed and highly upset. I wasted gas, took off from work and my time was wasted.

I love Dr. Hellman. He is the most patient and caring dr. you can have. He is a great Christian man. He will pray with you. He doesn't force surgery. I trust him completely with my spine. He is doing my neck fusion in May. Thank you Dr. Hellman

He treated me with kindness and understanding. He did neck fusion surgery on me and did an amazing job. I recommend him to anyone having neck or back surgery.

Was in a motor vehicle accident and got refused to be seen by doctor Hellman's office so had to find care somewhere else

A very short wait time 10 - 20 Mins if you have a scheduled appointment. Dr Hellman takes the time to explain diagnosis and treatment plan, in a way you can understand. He is very intent on making sure his patients understand what is planned and what should be expected. I feel very comfortable entrusting my healthcare to this very capable professional healer.

Dr. Hellman performed surgery on my brother's back, and he is the one who recommended him to me. My brother said he explained everything, and prayed before the surgery. This meant the world to my brother. I went to Dr. Hellman a couple years ago for a pain in my back. He suggested a shot would correct my problem, instead of surgery. He was right! I was very pleased with him, and recommend him highly.
