List of James Wang's Reviews
It was a terrible experience with this doctor, because he didn't inform the cost of the procedure to the client, went ahead an perform this removal of the ward( took him just a few minutes ), and then charged to my debit card over $1000 dollars, saying that because of the insurance didnt pay him, he was going to charge me the whole amount... he should've informed me about the price firt leaving me the choice to move forward with the procedure or not
The new staff at the Huntington Beach location is very unprofessional and unreliable. The new dermatologist is just there to make money off the insurance. I will not be going back to this doctor anymore. Dr. James needs to set them down and have a good talk about being professional courteous to their customers like a doctor's office should be ran. Not a playground for overgrown kids.
Has anyone heard of a Dermatogist unable to help a paying patient after 2 visits? Have apparently a rare skin rash issue where he never gave me any ointment, gave me a cortisone shot and then told me to see a allergist and couldn't recommend one.
Service was quick and fine although being scheduled for a $150 follow up appointment only to tell them my symptoms had cleared up is highly frustrating. Will not be coming back here in the future.
I brought my mom to for her consult and we saw Kelly P.A she's so sweet and professional, she went far and beyond she answered all our questions, we will definitely come back to the Derm Office, front office staff was super friendly.
Absolute butcher. Decided to scar me to save time. All he needed to do was mohs. First he lied. Told me he was going to do mohs them when he started her started cutting. When I asked him what he was doing he decided to do a regular surgery on his own.
I am not normally one to promote medical service providers but Dr Wang and his team do a very good job of processing all the insurance stuff, scheduling appointments and keeping the HB practice flowing smoothly .. during a pandemic ! I had medically necessary surgery & reconstructive surgery followed; Dr Wang was expert in his work left my surgical site as good or better than when we started. Absolutely would recommend this practice.
I've been debating writing a review, as I hate reviewing medical offices, but I can't in good conscious not say anything.I regret coming here. I had appointment with PA Caitlin for female hair loss. My appointment lasted two minutes. She looked at my head and told me to try a "topical treatment" (didn't specify what) and "maybe some vitamins" (again, didn't discuss which vitamins, no suggestions or anything) then to come back in two months. She did not tell me what kind of hair loss she thought it was, I had to ask her if she thought it was AGA. She nodded in response. We then stood there in silence awkwardly. I then said I guess I'll just shave my head and she said "uh, your hair is nice". Keep in mind I paid someone money for this appointment. It was cringeworthy. It was embarrassing, it was like she had no idea what she was doing. Dr. Wang I am embarrassed for your office and you should be too. I have no idea what qualifications your PA has but this office needs to take a hard look at how their office treats their patients and the conduct of the PAs. Please, I beg you, do not come here if you want compassion or for the office to actually help you. They also charge your credit card without notifying you.ETA:Passive aggressively sending me an email with the agreement for getting charged did not make me feel better about my visit. Also, thank you so much for this great information about female hair loss - it would have been better if I had been told this during my visit rather than as a response to my yelp review. For what it's worth, diagnostic options include blood tests and scalp biopsies. If the PA saw miniaturization it should have been mentioned in my visit. Although there is no cure there are treatment options available, and it's disappointing that your office is unable to discuss that with your patients.
I have been having breakouts since this March . Then I decided to see my dermatologist about two weeks ago. Dr. James Wang and his group are so friendly and professional. I got medicine prescription for the first visit. Today I went back there for the second time. My skincare is not perfect yet but better than the first visit. Today Dr. Wang prescribed me Topical lotion. Hopefully this will help me more. Also he captured a sample of my acne to do a test.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
