List of Atlanta Heart Specialists's Reviews
Dr. Sue was great when I seen him. Every experience that I had with the front desk staff has been horrible though. From appointment time mix ups to lack of communication to some sense of entitlement when I’m just a scared young woman eager to know understand why my heart isn’t functioning at a normal level. This staff needs more training on how to work cohesively so that everyone is on the same page. Dr. Sue is an amazing cardiologist he definitely needs a better team. I am so frustrated
I am extremely disappointed in the followup care I received from this practice. I woke up dizzy and dehydrated and fell to my knees. I called the office and was only able to leave a voicemail no option to talk to a live person. I left a message that described my condition and told them it was urgent to contact me right away. I followed up with an eMail with same request. After two hours with no response repeated the same voice Mail message and eMail. At 6 pm I called the Dr on call and described my condition and was assured I would receive a call from my cardiologist this morning. I called again at 11 am this morning and had to leave another voice Mail and no one has called me back after 24 hours of telling them I was in distress and needed urgent attention. I could have died and no one at this practice would care. Avoid this practice if you would like to live
I went to Atlanta Heart Specialists on Aug. 10 and Aug.12 where I saw Dr.Song and Dr.Chandra. I was very upset with my previous Doctor and my blood pressure was off the charts. They tried to do several tests but it was clear that the people doing the tests did not know how to do the tests they had to stop and get help 6 or 8 times. I am convinced that the tests were flawed because I was so upset and the people doing the test did not know what they were doing. Then after telling the Doctors I could not take Ace Inhibitors or water pills guess what they prescribed for me? Ace inhibitors and water pills These people cannot be trusted
Dr Song is awesome Great bedside manner listens and answers questions in a clear down to earth way. The staff is great too
After seeing the doctor I was referred to another doctor for a different test. I returned for followup after the test and the doctor refused to give me the test results. I also needed an emergency prescription refill primary care office was closed and this was the weekend for a blood test that was performed at this office 5mos ago. I had to take another blood test before I could get the prescription refill. It was evident that my chart had not been read. The doctor was very rude and dismissive. I usually receive large bills for costs that the insurance wont cover. This has been a money pit for me. If Im having to pay of pocket the least they can do is treat you with dignity. By the way the staff is great. Needless to say Im looking for a new cardiologist.
I was very impressed with Dr. Song. He asked a lot of questions good bedside manner and very professional.
Been here since before my appointment time for them to tell me I have a $300 deductible when it should be nothing more than the $60 copay. They also need to UPDATE and step into the 21st century. There is no reason to have to repetively write the same thing down over and over. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. I only went here because my company gives them a discount but NEVER AGAIN.And when walking in one of their employees didnt even hold the door. Rude and they overcharge? No thank you. The receptionist is really nice though.
Dr Chandra is one of the best doctors I have ever visited. He takes time to listen to your health issues accurately and have remedies for them. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They call in your prescriptions to your pharmacy very fast. I definitely would recommend Atlanta Heart Specialist.
Writing this in response to the review left by Janel Green below. Was working on the day this woman came into the office. To say she was creating a ruckus is not appropriate. Rather she was downright nasty and mean to everyone she met. She was rude and obnoxious with our manager who was trying to explain to her that we only found out about the certificate two days prior and we have been trying to contact her. Apparently the only contact number we had was for her husband’s cell phone and not hers. Even then after all those explanations she was still rude and obnoxious. She was sooo intolerable that the manager had to ask her to come back while we completed it. Dr. K had left instructions that as soon as Ms. Green showed up he should be contacted so he could give her the certificate. He was at another office when she arrived and he came over within 15 minutes. But Ms. Green was too unbearable to have her wait. Dr. K apologized to all of us for having to deal with this. He explained that her husband had arrived very sick at the hospital and as she stated eventually succumbed. Several doctors had worked on him for several hours but with little success as he was just too sick. Dr. K asked us to be understanding because it was tough situation for her. He described how he had talked to her and she was very upset about the news. Apparently there was a mix up about which physician to send the certificate to. Dr. K only found out about it two days prior... He and our practice manager have been working on trying to get a hold of her and to get her the certificate ever since. Finally in order to expedite it they ASKED her to come to the office. Really.. her “ruckus” or her inappropriate behavior was not needed or warranted and furthermore just unnecessary as he was prepared to correct this situation for her and over dramatization.. As I said Dr. K asked us to let it go. However seeing all the misinformation posted here by Ms. Green.. in an attempt to ruin a good practice’s and good physician’s name.. I felt the need to respond. Thank you.
I have been Dr. Alikhanis patient or about 2 years now. He is excellent I felt comfortable with him at my initial visit and our doctorpatient relationship continues to be excellent just as he is as my physician. He does not know anything about my background education etc. however he is always warm smiling as I am explains amp talks with me as a patient and he is the physician. I have asked too many questions since childhood he is patient and responds to them. The staff seems to always be quite busy however I do not have any complaints about them. If I have to call back re anything I understand that they are interacting with a lot of people. I do have to wait when I arrive for my appointment but that is not unusual in any business so that is understandable. My wait time has never been excessive. Someone once said You can tell a good doctor by the number of people waiting in the office.I do know that when I extend a nice warm greeting a positive attitude and very good communication it helps my relationship with anyone. If not and I continue to be dissatisfied with anything I can take my business elsewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
