Greenleaf Behavioral Health Hospital's Online Review Report Card

These 5 stars are for the nursing staff. I was in Greenleaf from 8/3/23/- 8/18123. The nurses were wonderful. They helped me with small things, when the techs were too busy. The nurses comforted my soul as well as taking care of my body. They were kind, unlike most of the techs. I want to give a special mention to those who went above and beyond. Should be zero stars. Very expensive, two nurses covering hundred patients. The nurses and few doctors used old paper charts instead of computers. Patient records were hundreds of pages meaning orders, doctors’ notes were impossible to find. I was there 10 days and never once saw a doctor or therapist. An RN asked if I wanted an emergency discharge and I was released within a day. My clothing was lost and I only had old torn paper scrubs I had been wearing a week. 5 hour drive from my home in northern GA to Valdosta! Ambulance Company refused return trip home. Psych hospital couldn’t help. So I asked an employee getting off shift for a ride for $500! Uncomfortable beds…two plywood beds in each room with a/c fans going 24/7. I was freezing but nurses forbade any bedding except one set of sheets, one thin blanket and only one pillow. A nurse raided my room at 3 am to take back an extra blanket. A horrible place just in it to make lots of money quickly. Indifference to all patients. We were warehoused cattle.

My child is there now and I have call 15 times trying to get someone to just let me know how my 13 year old son is doing. This is ridiculous. As parents we already worry about our children and for them to not keep us informed is out of this world.I guess they got the ringers off on the phones!!

I spent a week at this facility and I have to say the staff are excellent and they take very great care of the patients here. Call ahead and reserve your bed today. Yes they take walk-ins.

I spent 9 days here. this is not the first facility that i have went to, but this one is by far the best one i been to. The staff is amazing and very caring. Miss Nichole, Miss Chantel, Miss tiffany, and mr matt are all amazing and are there to help you can tell that they are not there for the money. I thank each and everyone that took their time to get to know me instead of judging me. i left there having a little family.

Asked to speak to someone, was transferred 5 different times then a woman named Tanya hung up on me

This hospital saved my daughters life! I couldn’t ask for better treatment. They are wonderful. The facility is beautiful. Lots of great staff. That are helpful and the Dr. They care! Thank you,

My husband has been trying to get any information he can about his mother and both of us keep getting sent to a voicemail box. Nobody will tell us anything and we haven’t heard any updates since she has been admitted ! Horrible place

I am very upset my daughter is an adult who voluntarily admitted herself in this facility yesterday and is miserable. She was told she would have to earn a pillow and blanket. A pillow and blanket really? My daughter J. wants to go home. I could not get in touch with anyone after calling 5 different times after 4 PM and kept being put on hold 3 times for over 30 minutes. I called 3 different times at lunch time. I am trying everything I can to get in touch with anyone regarding my daughter status and now I understand she wants to go home, and I can understand completely why after I cannot even get in touch with anyone and each person was extremely rude even after I had the required number needed. My daughters doctor even tried to get in touch with anyone and we need a medical release sent to her doctor. I just want to get my daughter out of here immediately and she is ready to go home immediately. If you are the owner, I have left messages many times and release my daughter as she as requested. Thank you!
