South Georgia Medical Center's Online Review Report Card

We are family of 5 new to the area from Pennsylvania. This Dr office is two min from our home. I chose dr Kyle Adams for my medical provider after stopping in his office and reading reviews online. I filled out new patient paperwork and had all 5 members of our family medical Records transferred. Two weeks later I called to see if the Records were in yet. The receptionist told me “they closed two SGMC offices and we are no longer accepting new patients because of the transfer of patients created a backlog”. I explained I was just in less then two weeks ago. When did this happen? Why didn’t anyone call me? I explained DR. Kyle Adams is literally on our Insurance cards. She said “sorry” I explained my wife and daughter need Birth control refills this Month she offered me the Number for a local clinic. I explained further that all three of my children need their GA immunization Records filled out by a DR BEFORE they can start at public school and we already waited 2 weeks. Zero concern for my situation,SGMC is the ONLY medical “player”in town….The service and availability to medical care they offer is deplorable.Thank You for wasting two weeks of my entire families time. Thank You for not calling me when you received my Medical Records.Thank you for my children NOT being able to attend public school. Most of ALL thank You for yourTOTAL LACK OF COMPASSION!I’ll be sure to tell every person I see and know.

Best staff! Melissa is so awesome! She makes me smile every time I see her. I hear her smile through the phone when I speak to her! She makes me feel very welcomed at SGMC Family Medicine. Tyler is very good at making sure all of my needs are covered. I can call her with any concerns and she makes sure the problem gets solve. And the cherry on top is Dr. Cliff Thomas. He is compassionate, caring, thoughtful and an excellent physician. He is a reincarnation of the “old school” MD who would actually listen to you and try to solve your problems.Actually, the entire staff is awesome here. Words can not express how much we love this practice, Dr Adams & Staff! But I must do a shout out to Melissa at the front desk. She goes above and beyond to always get me to the right person for mine or my husbands needs. With these trying times in the health World it so nice to know you have people who still are passionate about their career path. Continue to keep up the GREAT work folks. And know our family appreciates you!

I been looking for a primary physician in the Lowndes county area for years and I finally found one. I've heard so much about Clifton B. Thomas, Md and was so happy that I finally came. From the time you enter everybody is so nice, very professional, and he listens to your concerns. I walked out feeling much better about myself . Melissa the front desk receptionist is very nice and friendly(great customer service). The lady that took my vitals is very nice as well(j forgot her name thoe).

First, I want to say that I have left a review before, and I still feel exactly the same -- even more so...I LOVE this entire office!! A specific shout-out to Lori, Megan, Stephanie, and Dr. Adams!!! THEY ARE AMAZING.The reason for this specific post is to respond to Jc Elliott's post below, as reading it really upset me!! First, the "s" is part of his name...a hyphen isn't applicable - Adams, not Adam's! I don't know, nor have I ever met Pam, but that's irrelevant! Regarding Megan...what are you even talking about with the scrubs? Every employee of SGMC, and every nurse in every healthcare facility anywhere, is required to wear them... also, since they are generic fabrics and not really flattering to anyone, I'm pretty sure she doesn't think she's cute! Even if she does, that has no relevance here, so leave it out of a VERY public review!! I have been a patient of Dr. Adams for quite awhile now, and I've NEVER had a bad experience -- via phone or in person, with Megan. Rather, she has been amazing to work with! She is very knowledgeable, and concerned about the welfare of her patients!! 99% of the time, when I leave her a voicemail message, I hear back that same day....same for refill requests -- whether I submit them via MyChart, or leave a voicemail message, I get an alert from my pharmacy verifying it has been filled! Lastly, as a fellow parent, I want YOU to have accountability for your own children. If you don't hear back within the 48-hour timeframe, it is YOUR responsibility to press "0" from the main automated prompts, speak with someone at the front desk, and ask for the practice manager. Stephanie is also amazing, and if something fell through the cracks (which is just as common to actually be the pharmacy involved, as I know from personal experience), I guarantee she will get it handled for you. So, in the case of your sons, I am truly sorry to hear about it, but that is absolutely not the fault of Megan...if you had addressed it, like I said above, he wouldn't have missed his medication or experienced the seizure [directly traumatizing his brother in the process].Next time, think about the impact social media can have on someone, and consider how this would affect YOU if someone threw shade at you like this.NOTE: ATTENTION perspective patients. Please disregard JC's post, as it appears to be a personal vendetta, read all the other INFORMED patient posts, call to schedule a new patient appointment, and make your OWN decision.Thanks for reading this, and I hope you become a part of the [SGMC] family soon!! :D

I love Dr Adam's! That being said, he needs to find Pam, or call her up, and offer her a humongous raise and free benefits. He has not and likely will not find another nurse like her. Let the nurses who signed up because they thought they'd look cute in scrubs, go to work someplace where people don't depend on her as much. This Megan chic blows people off and then blames it on a different excuse every time. "The Dr was out sick" or "I was out sick" or "The pharmacy messed up". Never once do you hear an apology or acceptance of responsibility. You rarely can get a call back. I don't care what the answer is, just give me an answer in 24 to 48 hrs like you claim you will do. Repeat phone calls ARE necessary. Because of you, I have one kid in the hospital with a minor head injury after having seizures waiting on you to call in his meds (after a week of messages and several faxes from the pharmacy) and another child traumatized after finding his brother in that condition with noone else home. I hope the good doc will recognize the incompetence and get rid of you.

I recommend Dr. Cliff Thomas to everyone I see. He is never in a hurry to leave the room and talks to me like we’ve known each other for years and years. However, that’s not the purpose of this review. Let me tell you about Melissa Morgan. She will be the first smiling face that you’ll see when you walk in the door. Always smiling and friendly with exceptional customer service skills. I have personally never heard her say “No”!!! It’s always let me see what I can do for you. Melissa you are a wonderful and beautiful person inside and out. Never lose that spark that you have. And again thank you for everything that you do for my family and myself. Sincerely, M. Fletcher

Dr. Guadiana is fantastic! She has been my physician for over a year now. She is attentive and thorough. I always feel like she takes time to listen to my concerns and truly cares! The staff here are wonderful as well! Highly recommend!

After some less than pleasant experience with medical care last year, this practice was recommended to me. I have been seeing Dr Adams since November, 2020. I don't think I could have made a better choice for a physician. He immediately put me at ease on the first visit. He takes the time to listen and fully address any questions. He has a great personality and unlike many physicians around here, he doesn't make you feel rushed during an appointment.

Sgmc family medicine is Awesome ! All the staff there truly care about their patients from sweet Melissa at the front desk the wonderful tech Tru and Dr Cliff Thomas who is just The best and his caring precious nurse Tyler who is always willing to go the extra mile ! Stephanie the office manager always so happy sweet and greets everyone with a smile They make ya feel like family not just a patient ! They are all wonderful kind , caring and go above and beyond always ! Thank you all the excellent service you provide ! Dr Thomas is absolutely Amazing !!!
