List of Robert E Johnson Md's Reviews
In the days when I had no insurance, I was a patient of the Savannah Community Health Mission and Dr. Johnson received me free of charge. I am very grateful to him for that. But after the surgery to remove half of my thyroid gland, I got such a terrible scar. I cried when I saw it for the first time. and now that more than six years have passed, I cannot look at it without sorrow.
Dr J saw my newborn 3 days after birth bc he was possibly tongue tied. A new mother, worried about my baby, I was already upset by the thought of having my baby’s tongue clipped when he walks in my private room while I was nursing him and said i was not allowed to nurse there. Maybe he doesn’t understand the law? I was so upset and then watched as he forcefully examined his tongue-hastily said it needs to be clipped. No way! I left hysterically crying. Still considering lawsuit. Never see him!!!
well as of right now. im unable to work because of health issues . Dr. came in and the first thing he asked was where was i working . He " you have to have a job your throat hurting is no reason you shouldnt be working "keep in mind i dont even know whats wrong with my throat he wouldnt even let me explain my problems swallowing ,burping ,breathing and tonsils so swollen they are touching. my insurance covers everything this just a very rude Dr. will never recomend or let do surgery on me...
Dr Bob did cancer surgery on me 1 month later he called me by a different name, told me to quit crying and grow up don't come back until I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND NOR VISIT OR VOTE FOR THIS UNPROFESSOINAL DR
An exceptional doctor and person. I trust him with my life!
I had a surgery done due to a deviated nasal septum. After a couple months, I started to have the same problems again, unable to breath for one nostril. I made an appointment and explain to the doctor what was going on. He simply looked into my nasal passage and say it looks fine, there is nothing else he can do. He mentioned, that is the best results from a deviated septum, everything is straight. I was shocked that he did not go the extra mile to isolate the problem. He did not use the fiber optic scope to go further into the nose to see what was going on inside. I hate the fact that I must give him a negative review but this is base on my experience with him. I am still struggling with this issue breathing issue. I am trying to find another doctor who practice a thorough exam to isolate and confirm his/her patient complaint.
I had a parathyroidectomy about 2 months before my wedding and Dr. Johnson did my surgery. My tumor was not exactly where the scan had showed so my "20 minute" surgery ended up taking about 2.5 hours because Dr. Johnson did not want to create a bigger incision (scar) on me! I was so amazed when I woke up and found out because I'm sure it put him behind schedule on his other appointments and he could have made it easier on himself by just doing a bigger incision, but he didn't rush and ended up doing a great job. He also did a good thing by keeping my in the hospital overnight on what is typically a day surgery, because the next day my calcium was low and I was symptomatic and needed IV calcium to feel better. He consulted a endocrinologist to help look after me and I ended up going home the next day. Now, a week later, I am doing better than I could have hoped after just one week. I am very happy with Dr. Johnson and his office. I never have to wait long and he always keeps things simple, answers my questions, and shows genuine concern for me. :)
My wife was referred to Dr. Robert E. Johnson for symptoms similar to allergies. Dr. Johnson accurately diagnosed her condition as a deviated septum. He recommended a septoplasty. He listened carefully to my wife's medical history, did an excellent pre-op exam, and carefully explained the risks, benefits & recovery process. My wife decided on surgery. Before he began the operation, he met with us & prayed with us. After the procedure, Dr. Johnson located me in the waiting room & updated me on her condition. Dr. Johnson honored our request to prescribe some anti-nausea meds for my wife to take post-op. Dr. Johnson and his entire staff were not only excellent health care providers, but they were informative and kind. He called us the next day to check on her. A week later when we followed up with Dr. Johnson in his office, my wife had nearly recovered 100%. The outcome was excellent. I strongly recommend Dr. Johnson for all ear, nose and throat issues. He is the best of the best!
Dr. Johnson took time with to answer all of my questions and concerns about possible sinus surgery for my son. His staff took the time to answer post op questions as well. The day of the surgery he came in to check on my son before and after to say a prayer and to see if we had anymore questions. The staff followed up the day after surgery to see how my son was doing. I felt that we had everyones undivided attention.
He is a very caring and compassionate person. Would recommend him to anyone. Not only did he diagnose my thyroid cancer and devise a plan of action. He was always there to answer questions. I had a surgery that was suppose to be 2 hours and turned out to be 7 hours, because of the severity of my cancer. He keeped my family informed during the whole procedure including coming to talk with them personally. He has a deep concern for not only his patient, but the entire family that is involved. He even took time with me before my surgery to say a prayer. That is a very rare quality of any person today, especially for your doctor to take time to give God the praises he is due!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
