List of Tanner Health System's Reviews
Update: 6 years later and I still have nightmares of this place. Also I am sorry for my bad grammar in the last review and maybe this update. This place sucks and I will most likely never recover from the trauma I have because of this place. I could not put everything down in the review because yelp has limited words. There is many many more bad things that they have done. I hope I can find a way to report this place to a higher power. The higher will most likely not care just like this place. Again do not go here. I went to a mental hospital recently and I cried of happiness because it was nothing like willowbrooke. Please don't go here, Even if any other place has no beds. Just keep your kid safe while another place gets room.
They did absolutely nothing beneficial, only took advantage of their 1013 legal excuse to hold people there as long as they want for financial gain at the cost of those who need the help Willowbrooke does not provide, meaning all of it. It's a prison that charges you to be there.
It was very nice and all the staff very caring and concern about the wellbeing of others ..They Are The Best..
I was a patient at Willowbrooke and received great care from the staff. I got the care and rehab that I went there for. I stayed there for a week, went through detox, and have been sober for over a month. They provided classes and med evaluation. The Drs listened and did not treat me as a moneymaker like some other facilities have.
Kind people! They really care about the patients!
This place saved my life three years ago. I have read several negative reviews, but I didn't experience anything even close to the things they are saying about Willowbrooke. I am very grateful to the counselors, nurses and psychiatric staff that helped me learn that my life is every bit worth living. The only negative I can complain about is going through the guards to get checked in. I had just lost my son to a motorcycle accident and I was suicidal. They treated me with no compassion and actually laughed and joked about me to each other. All I could do was cry. If I had been able to, I would have punched both of them in the face as hard as humanly possible. I think they get some kind of thrill out of scaring the patients. They need to screen their guards better and make sure they are properly trained to deal with people with mental health problems.
I was an inpatient at Willowbrooke for 5 days. When I got there, I didn’t get the option to sign a discharge paper and learned from another patient that you could. The nurses are never available when you need them and treat you like you’re stupid. And I’m about to lose my job because none of the doctors want to sign my FMLA (family medical leave act) papers confirming that I got treatment. I have had a terrible experience thus far and hope to never go back, but the MHT’s were wonderful.
This place is horrible. The lady that did my sons evaluation scared the hell out of him and he is 7!!!! He even told her she was creeping him out. She coached every answer to make things look worse than they were said something about keeping him. I said no so then she said he would have to be picked up from school every day and then brought home at night after 8pm. REALLY you are telling a 7-year-old he will only see his parents to sleep at night????? What kind of place is this! Today definitely did not help him at all. I will never bring him and will never refer anyone here.
First, the food is awful. While I was a patient there, a few of the other patients said that they got better food in County jail, and prison. The chicken was dry, the pork was dry, and breakfast was always the same options. I was a patient with no insurance, but some people go with insurance, and I do not know how the food is so awful. Second, most of the techs for the adult unit are so unprofessional. The patients, including me, are there during some of the worst moments in their adult lives and the staff is rude. For instance, Miss Jay being too hot during the day, but the clients complaining that it was too cold, and her still turning the ac up in October, when patients don't have sweaters or long sleeves. Another example is one morning when we came into the day room, Miss Jay specifically said she was in a bitchy mood and not to test her that day. The patients are ill, and not well, and she expected everyone to just be okay and perfect angels. Miss Jay also complained all day Sunday and Monday about being on our unit, and how some people needed to take care of their hygiene because they stink and that it was offensive to her. And when I say all day, I mean constantly making comments, spraying perfume around the room. Totally ridiculous and unprofessional. When I filled out the patient survey I gave the techs a 1-2 ratingThird, when I went through security to be admitted I had to go into a room, pull up my shirt, without a bra, to make sure I didn't have anything on me, including pulling my pants down and coughing. The only time in my entire life that I have had to do that was in juvenile jail when I was 16. Fourth, patients are not allowed in their rooms during the day. Naps are not allowed, on news medications. Patients are expected to be in the day room or group from 730am-830pm without being able to take a break or sleep, even during the weekends. This was horrific for me, as I normally work evenings. I get that they want you to go to group, but not being able to lie down if you don't feel well is absolutely ridiculous. Five, the nurses are rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. They cannot be bothered whatsoever, and barely have any interactions with patients at all, even if a patient has a panic attack. In conclusion, I will end on a good note, the therapists and doctors were excellent. 5 star rating to the groups they have m-f, which they do not hold at all on the weekends. You watch tv all weekend.
this place is ran like a jail and all there amenities are flat out lies you can't eat outside your locked in a small cafeteria, there is no outside time you can see the koi pond from the window but never go out the central nursing hun yeah right your prohibited from even approaching or talking to nurse except med pass I have many serious medical issues I was told your not here for that if you want your love ones mentally, physically and emotionally abused this is the perfect place for revenge and God help us that 1013 because family have no rights hospital uses any excuse to fill at least 4 tanner mental health facility I will never be the same just add PTSD to the list

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
