I entered this facility to be drug tested for an upcoming assignment. I am a travel nurse that responds to Covid crisis assignments. I am also a single mother. Immediately they turned me away because I had my son with me. They refused to let my son sit in a chair outside the door of the bathroom while I gave a sample. I explained that I have to have my son with me, but they refused me service and discriminated against me because I am a single mother. My son is old enough and fully capable of sitting in a chair in the lobby or outside of a bathroom door for a couple of minutes while I give a sample. In today’s world, grace goes a long way... especially when it is a single mother and frontline worker needing testing to obtain employment. Discrimination against single mothers or any parent is uncalled for. As a member of the medical community, I can’t imagine turning away a patient needing testing because they have a minor accompanying them. I will be sending my employer notification of the discrimination that was bestowed upon me in hopes they will chose another facility that is more welcoming of parents and children alike.

They were nice. But the staff making a comment about other staff taking their lunches outside. Is very unnecessary. Also need to inform people how long the results will take and what to expect.
