J. William Mix's Online Review Report Card

He was on his way out when he came in the room. He gave me the impression he didn't believe my pain was bad. I got the feeling he didn't care. He gave me a blood thinner and didn't tell me. He said come back in 3 months and we will go from there. I took the medicine for 3 weeks and had bad side effects. I called the office 5 time in one day to find out if I could stop the medication. I left 2 messages and talked to 3 different people and they couldn't tell me what to do. It has been 3 days and I still have not heard from them. I finally called my doctor to find out what to do. I don't need a doctor that I can't get help when I need it.

Dr Mix is in my experience the Best vascular surgeon in the southeast. He has done more for me than I could ever pay him back for. I appreciate his honesty , professionalism and his Christian outlook on life. I wish him much success in the future.

This man saved my life. Literally

Dr. Mix and his Nurse Gail were amazing while treating my 80 year old Dad. Dr Mix did several procedures on my father and did have to perform a leg amputation and was there with us each time we had questions. His staff is amazing too. I couldn’t have found the best caring , loving hearted Dr to take care of my Dad. He prayed before surgeries and you don’t find doctors these days taking the time for prayer. Thank you! Dr. Mix helped me through a difficult time with an aortic aneurysm. Very caring and loving. He did an excellent job.

He said one thing during his visit and his notes reflected a totally different diagnosis. He said that he reviewed medications with the patient and he never did and he gave dangerous information regarding patient self care as research later indicated. During the consult he seemed to be bored when I was describing concerns that I had with my condition.

Dr. Mix never made it to the hospital to read the test he ordered. The office visit: We waited more than 2 hours. Instead of the doctor we were ushered into a room for test. The exact same test he did not read from the hospital. When we finally saw him, he read the other counties test...and we asked. What about the one you just ran? CRICKETS..He had no idea they ran the test. My wife has 60% blockage in one leg, but has yet to see the doctor again for the results. The rudest, and most inappropriate tech came on the line, interrupted every sentence I spoke. BTW, they ordered a CT with dye, and sent us into a room, soon another patient and his wife were sat almost in our laps, and had to give their personal information in front of us, total strangers. My deep concern is that she has now returned to work, waiting those results, with Cumoden, and large doses of aspirin. I asked the staffer for her name, and she just got louder, and louder, and then hung up on me. All I was asking was for them to look at the results and tell us, she was not in danger until her apt. This is the most unprofessional doctor and staff I have experienced in my 50 years. DON"T GO!!!!!

When the Doctor told me that he didn't want to see me in the first place and only did it as a favor to my regular cardiologist. He didn not like cleaning up others mess. I said well this has been a waste of my time his Time and my money he stated he could not believe I spoke to him a doctor that way. Mind you I was very emotional crying because he just told me he couldn't help me and maybe my foot would.heal or he could cut a piece of it off. What a joke of a doctor.
