I got appointment to do blood work at Dr. Baggett office, no one told me I had to pay $100+ out of pocket for it, even though I have insurance, and the last I did it there, they told me I didn’t have to pay. This time they told me after the work is done I have to pay out of pocket, and that if I had gone to the lab in Macon instead, it's covered by my insurance. They told me, apparently, I paid for the last bloodwork as well, through mail billing. I don't know if I still need to resolve that as well. Dishonest! Dishonest! Why do I need to have insurance for and choose to pay out of pocket. There's also the issue being very cursory on regular checkup, but that's another issue. Time for me to move on! I will take this post down if this office resolve the above issues, cuz I don't I know what the deal, just want my problem solved.
This is a good place to go for general check ups and nothing too specific. Unfortunately, I did have to find a new doctor because I’ve recently developed migraines and it was impacting my job to the point I was fearful of losing it. I went from having these head issues once every few months to every day or every other week once I started getting treated here. I expressed that to the female doctor (who was not my regular primary doctor cuz Dr. Baggett was on vacation), but the response was always a different medication followed by a check up in 4-6 months. Obviously I could call in between, but this solutions was ridiculous. I always called a few weeks after and was hoping they could send me somewhere to get a scan to make sure there’s no underlying issue. I also suffer from depression and take medication for that, so every time I had a migraine, the pain and pressure would trigger an episode. I went through 4-5 medications for migraines and nothing helped, but still I was asked to try a different pill. The female doctor actually seemed bothered I was coming in, and when it came to ADA papers I needed for work because I was missing days due to my migraines, she would not fill them out. I know for a fact she did not thoroughly look through my paperwork the first time before rejecting them, and the second time she wouldn’t sign because she “didn’t authorize for me to be out of work.” My paperwork was for the doctor to approve a certain amount of days I could miss going forward so I wouldn’t lose my job, but she wouldn’t even see me to have that talk; the receptionist was always the third party even when the doctor would come to the receptionist desk and talk there for a time telling her what to say. At that point, the doctor should have just talked to me directly since that’s the whole reason of setting up an appointment. I’ve since found a new doctor at a different location who is doing wonders for me. She’s cut back my medication for migraines, changed my medication for depression, and also help set up secondary medical help because of the damage my migraines cause when they do hit. She will see me in two weeks vs the months I met here. I went from weeks of just pain and pressure in my head to finally feeling it alleviate. Again, this office is good for general check ups and nothing specific. If you have migraines, PLEASE go elsewhere unless you have time for pill after pill without a referral to a neurologist (people whose job it is to look at the brain) in sight.
Dr. Baggett has been a great doctor to work with and improve my health. He has taken his time and has been very thorough in my treatment. He is both personable and kind.
I trust Dr. Baggett with my life…Literally! The staff is kind, courteous, and genuinely concerned with patient care. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Not very interested in the whole person. You need a doctor that actually cares about you.....not just "here...take this drug"
Dr. Baggett is awesome! He is on time for his appointments, takes time to talk with me about my health, genuinely cares. The staff are fantastic - always very helpful and friendly. I would not go any where else.
I love Dr Baggett & his staff! I've been with him for close to 20 years now & their care for me has been the best I've ever had in my 66 years. God Bless them all ! I don't know what I'd do without them.
Dr. Baggett was great. Very nice. Listened to all my concerns. My problem came when I needed blood drawn. The nurse didn't seem to know what she was doing. Poked the needle in and wiggled it inside my arm until she found a vein to get blood from. Now I am left with a large bruise on my arm that is quite unsightly and almost looks like I'm shooting up. Doctor was great. Nurse not so much!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
