List of Layth A. Saymeh's Reviews
Dr Saymeh was my mothers doctor he was very professional and very informative. Good Bed side manners......
Where to start! I would not recommend Dr Saymeh. First, I’ve seen him twice and both times he spent about one minute and bolted out the door. I have a serious health issue, but he couldn’t waste his time to listen or let me ask him questions. Next, he ordered several blood tests when I was in his office the first time... I asked about the results and he forgot he even ordered it. He said he hadn’t received anything back from the lab. It had been weeks!! I don’t know anything more than when I first went to see him. I would give him zero stars if possible.
Dr. Saymeh has good bedside manners, attentive and he cares for his patients. Instead of seeing another gastroenterologist, you must seen Dr. Saymeh.
I had colonoscopy and endoscopy performed and scheduled follow up for Dec 17th due to mass found on endoscope... I traveled 75 miles one way for my appointment got there and was told the PA had been gone for nearly 4 weeks and no longer worked there. That I would need to reschedule visit. Tried rescheduling appt and was told earliest available appt would be February which is 2.5 months away. This is terrible customer service and especially that I had both performed by Dr. Saymeh and have mass. This was their scheduling error and should have to make it right. So as of now I am looking for another Dr. also be aware if you do make appt it is not actually Dr Saymeh you will see it will be PA on visits. This is worse customer service I have ever had with a Dr and scheduling.
Dr Saymeh is such a caring doctor. He has been there for my Dad who is 90 and recently had his esphagus stretched. I would highly recommend Dr Saymeh - his staff is also very professional.
I Was sent to him, and initially excited with his pedigree and apparent knowledge, Boy would I be disappointed. After being his patient for several years and several inpatient experience and one bowel resection I quickly realized he either didn’t understand my disease process or just didn’t care about his patients. Unfortunately the later was confirmed when I was referred to Emory Health as newly diagnosed with my disease even though I’d had over 100 hospitalizations and had two surgeries as well as receiving every medication on the market, some with horrid side effects that ruined my life and my career. Then his office wouldn’t even send any medical records to Emory Healthcare to help me out. I had to chase down all my other records through primary care and hospitals I had been admitted to. If you have an advanced disease Don’t go here and don’t be comforted by the plaques in his office stating he was a top 100 physician. That doesn’t mean what you think it does.
I appreciate the care my husband received from Dr. Saymeh. He got my husband's procedures scheduled very quickly. He seems very knowledgeable and I appreciate everything he did to help.
Unethical, unprofessional, incompetent and the worst medical provider I’ve ever seen. I had to submit a complaint to the medical board of Georgia for his actions. I recommend everyone stay away from this doctor, Layth Saymeh.
We never got to meet Dr Saymeh until today, the day of my wife’s colonoscopy. We saw a very professional nurse practitioner by the name of Nikki on our first visit to set up the colonoscopy. She was absolutely amazing and very personable. However, the doctor was awful. He had no personality that was patient friendly at all. He blamed me and my wife for not cleaning out her colon properly. I told him that I followed directions from his own staff. They told me not to have my wife eat or drink after midnight last night. But oh no, he insisted that she should have had another prep bottle to drink at 4:00 AM this morning. They need to get their act together. I think Nikki, his nurse practitioner should have handled everything including the colonoscopy. But of course she cannot because she is not an MD. Wonder how this Dr. Saymeh got his license, probably in Walmart. I was grossly offended by this man’s verbiage towards me.
I became Dr. Saymeh's patient shortly after my 3rd Ulcerative Colitis flare-up. The doctor I had previously did not give me the personalized service that I have received in Dr.Saymeh's office. I am very thankful to have such a great GI doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
