I had a lung biopsy 9-6-2022. Dr Hosein was great at the hospital, very informative and helpful. She said she would have me come to her office on Monday or Tuesday of the next week for the results. I left the hospital and was to call her office for an appointment. That is where the helpfulness ended!! Her office staff was rude. I couldn't get an appointment until the October. So we had no idea what the results were until an oncology Dr called to set an appointment. That is when I found out that I have cancer. What a way to get that kind of news. I would not use her again!!!
A little more than a week ago I was brought into Houston Medical with a collapsed lung. After being admitted to pulmonary floor of the hospital I was informed that Dr. Maya Hosein would be taking care of my care and I would be meeting with her to discuss my condition. In the three days I was hospitalized I never saw her or even received a phone call from her. After being released from the hospital three days after going to the ER, I was instructed to call Dr. Hosein's office for a follow-up visit. I immediately called her office and have left three messages. It has been nine days later and I still have not talked to a person or even heard from Dr. Hosein. My collapsed lung is still experiencing some issues and now I am forced to seek care from another pulmonologist. I have never experienced such negligence from a doctor or their staff. Her oath pertaining to "special obligation to all my fellow human beings" has failed my current condition and needed treatment.
A little more than a week ago I was brought into Houston Medical Center with a collapsed lung. After being admitted to pulmonary floor of the hospital I was informed that Dr. Maya Hosein would be taking care of my care and I would be meeting with her to discuss my condition. In the days that I was hospitalized I never saw her or even received a phone call from Dr. Hosein. Instead I was visited by a cardiologist twice. After being released from the hospital three days after going to the ER, I was instructed to call Dr. Hosein's office for a follow-up visit. I immediately called her office Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Five days after my hospitalization and I still have not talked to Dr. Hosein or her office staff. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism or neglect and am forced to find another pulmonologist who is able to help me with my serious condition.

In the three days I was hospitalized I never saw her or even received a phone call from Dr. Hosein. Instead I was visited by a cardiologist twice. After being released from the hospital three days after going to the ER, I was instructed to call Dr. Hosein's office for a follow-up visit. I immediately called her office Monday and was forced to leave a message, therefore I gave all the specific information that her office required. I received a message back the following day instructing me for more information that was needed. I called them back that same day and was forced again to leave another message, where I gave them the added information that they required. Four days later I still have not talked to a person or even was given a follow-up date that was required upon me being released from the hospital with a collapsed lung. Therefore, I am now forced to seek much needed care and instruction from another pulmonologist who has interest in doing their job to figure out why my lung collapsed and construct an action plan to help assure that it does not happen again. I have never experience this type of negligence from either a doctor or from their office staff and I am highly disappointed to learn that she is the head of pulmonary at the Houston Medical center. She has failed in her professionalism of completing the oath of a medical doctor. . ."I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligation to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm." I can not, nor will I ever, recommend Dr. Maya Hosein as reference for anyone who requires professional care for a serious pulmonary condition.
Dr.Maya Hosein is an amazing physician. She truly cares about the health of her patients and their well-being. She will go the extra mile to make sure she finds a solution in the care of her patients. Her attitude is always positive and treats everyone with the upmost respect. Her employees respect and adore her. We need more physicians like this!
Dr. Hosein is now located 2024 watson blvd bldg 1, warner robins GA 31093, Tel 478-449-5030
I love dr hosein. She is a wonderful pulmonologist. The office staff is my problem. I have had nothing but trouble out of most of them especially Rena in billing. She has the attitude of money is more important than the patients. I am going to be changing dr's looks like. Maya is great and has a wonderful bedside manner. Too bad their staff is inadequate!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
