Her attitude and bed side manners are the reason for 1 star. She might be very knowledgeable but has a poor way of communication or explaining things. I heard from several staff just how difficult she can be to deal with, perhaps dr. Patel should educate herself on how to be kind, understanding and explain things...that could be a huge accomplishment for her and go along way

Very poor bedside manner. Didn't listen to what I was saying. The day I was going home from the hospital all I asked her if I can get soft foods then the salad, chips and turkey with American cheese stomach due to my stomach can only tolerate soft foods. She went off saying everything was ok and I have to eat it. I told her that the GI doctor me that I also have aggravating irritable syndrome. Said no he didn't tell me that and said he wrote something else instead. WORSE DR I HAD IN THE HSP.

extremely poor bedside manner, Her tone and mannerism was horrible. She was totally disrespectful and not professional. She did not research are know anything about the patient condition. Made plans to relocate patient and did not consult with the patient or offer what treatment plans were to be in place and why. Terrible communication skills.

One of the best physicians I have ever worked with! I do not work for her but have had many opportunities to work with her. Not only is she a fabulous Infectious Disease Specialist, but she is just a great doctor! She truly cares about her patients and takes the time to investigate their illnesses and co-ordinate with their other healthcare providers. She even arranges her patients' outpatient treatments. She is so smart, but never behaves as if she is better than other professionals in healthcare.

Bedside manner was EXTREMELY bad. She didn't identify herself at my recent hospital stay. Gave me nothing as to my condition.

would rather be treated by somebody off the street than by her. Can't pass her board but yet practices as an "infectious disease specialist" -- It should be illegal for her to practice.
