I was given a referral to see Sheldon Brown, MD by my primary care team. I received a referral in the mail and one was sent to Dr. Brown’s office. I then called and spoke to Pam who said she had no record of me. She not only wanted the referral, she wanted the chief complaint and ICD-10-CM code. Most people don’t even know what that is! I then called my referral office who told me they have issues with Pam and this practice all the time. They sent over a fax of the referral again to the fax number Pam provided me. I still heard nothing back. Pam had said she would contact me when she got the referral. I waited over a week before finally calling back. Again Pam said she had nothing on me and they were now not taking new patients. I explained I had spoke to her about it all a week before, but she wasn’t interested in helping me at all. They have refused to help me in any way. I am VERY disappointed with this practice. I now have to go back to my provider and get a new referral somewhere else. Since this is supposed to be a psychiatry practice, it is extremely important they keep in contact with patients, especially ones on prescriptions, but it is blatantly obvious they have no cares for their patients. This will put me behind on my medications because I will have to wait weeks for an appointment somewhere else. I DO NOT recommend this practice as long as Pam works there. She is rude and does not want to do her job. This is not how you treat patients with mental illness and depression. She could send someone off the deep end. Great job Pam. Keep up the hard work ):
